I literally just finished The Rise of Kyoshi book a few days ago...bro the plot twists. I'm reading Shadow of Kyoshi right now and it's pretty interesting. It's nice to get a visualization of the scene when Kyoshi brings up earth from the ocean floor as well as Jianzhu's "making a bridge in the sky" move.
@@Onyx-zg3xn the Kyoshi books are free with an audible membership which is how I read them! You just have to sign up for a free 1 month trial and you get 1 or 2 credits for free too which you can use on other books (like the Yangchen books) :D
Oh man I really thought they canceled it's been over a year the last time we get another episode I'd ever going to wait for Netflix to make this come out
Babe wake up a new episode of the rise of kyoshi is up I love this so much, I read the novel and it’s amazing to see what I’ve imagined animated, you guys are amazing🩷
Loved seeing the battle scene come to life! Jianzhu’s movements were especially impressive and it was cool seeing it take shape! 10:55 I appreciate the soundtrack from Ghost of Tsushima fits the vibe
That’s what makes Jianzhu the best Avatar villain imo. While he is a ruthless, despicable person, he also feels genuinely responsible for guiding the next Avatar to help the world, and actually has the knowledge and expertise to do so. Even Zaheer, despite being the best villain in Korea by a wide margin, was basically a 14 year old’s idea of an anarchist. His goals started and ended with destruction, no desire to build a new system of any kind.
@@deadshot1995 He's like a better written version of Kuvira. Someone who had to keep the Earth Kingdom in balance without an Avatar, but as they lacked the Avatar's power/respect, they had to become ruthless in order to do it. I feel like Jianzhu's friendship with Kuruk, and his promise not to fail the next Avatar, makes his story much more compelling though.
@@deadshot1995I never found myself hating jianzhu one bit while reading the book, and I actually was rooting for him to capture kyoshi. It's probably just me tho
@@zarkahmed3199 He takes the ‘ends justify the means’ philosophy a bit too far for me. But for what it’s worth, Kyoshi certainly internalized the lessons he taught her, albeit unwillingly.
@@deadshot1995 I mean, when the ends are stabilizing the world, killing a few people along the way out of necessity is worth it. Not to mention he wouldn't have had to kill anyone if kyoshi would've listened to him from the beginning. This is only my opinion though, and I can see where you're coming from
SPOILER WARNING: DO NOT READ MY COMMENT IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE WHOLE BOOK! Jianzhu is such a great character, one of my favorites even. Although he is technically the villain, he wasn't an evil person, as he is just someone pushed to do extreme things by the virtue of having the weight of the world on his shoulders. He was forced to be ruthless and extremely efficient in everthing he did or else the Earth Kingdom would fall apart. Even Lao Ge (a character that has seen more than anyone else) realized this. Although killing Kelsang was definitely lack of proper judgment on his part.
This was AWESOME! Like always! Keep on the amazing work! :D Only one thing bothered me: When Tagaka did some waterbending at 1:50 it was not clear that she made a table to sit at. I would be irritated if I hadn't already known this part of the book. Despite that: I LOVE your videos! Can't wait for the next part!
i had a hard time understanding what jianzhu does in south pole with his earthbending to destroy the ships if i need to watch anime because didn't understand the fights in manga imagine a chaotic description of a guy using stones slabs
THEY'RE BACK! IT'S BEEN 84 YEARS!
It felt like decades
It sure did
It felt like a 100 years or 10,000 years 🙈
Isn't that from that boat movie?
Better then a 100 year war lolol (making a joke cuz the new avatar is not my favourite)
FUCK! Only 5 episodes???? Damn I was getting into it
I would this guy deserve an oscar for turning a normal book in a series of his own with amazing pacing/art work and music design
That's not what an oscar is for...
@@yournemesis i know but this guy still deserves it
The voice actors killing it yet again
And just like that. Kyoshi’s whole world began to unravel 🥺🥺🥺🥺. I’m feeling sad for the next episode. When she must face Rangi and Yun. 😭😭😭😭😭. ❤❤❤❤❤
The next episode is even sadder 😢

@@Onyx-zg3xnyeah definitely
Did she used the avatar state to bring up earth from the ocean ??
@@aboudiboudi3992 yes she did
Yun was such a good avatar, tragic that he wasnt the avatar. And Jianzu had noble motivations which makes him such a good villain
Yun and Kyoshi are the definition of a Jupiter and Sun relationship
Agreed to both
Kyoshi was talking to her actual past life avatar kuruk but didn't know it yet
True, she thought it was the water bending master guy
The whole world really miss judge him🧑⚖️🌎
YESSS!!! IM READY FOR A KYOSHI BATTLE!
I swear an animated series based off of this or the Yangchen book would be incredible.
Yeah, this is what they had to do instead of korra
@@dificulttocure Maybe one based off of the upcoming Roku book too. Everyone loves Avatar Roku!
Why is the music so good and fitting . I want to give you guys money to fully produce this . Holy shit

Actually 7 months but it felt like 7 years lol
Because of this channel I bought the kyoshi books and it was so gooooood
We waited months for this. Was it worth it?
Every freaking second of it!!!
Love the art and voicework to this, it's all exactly how I imagined the novels to be on my first read - great stuff!
And just four days after “the Legacy of Yangchen” is released. Was that coincidental or planned? Either way, it’s noteworthy.
definitely planned, it was voiced, drawn, and premiered
Jianzhu's earthbending style reminds me of Kuvira'd metalbending style🎉
Tagaka was AMAZING
"I would never become a daofei"
*curb your enthusiasm theme plays* sure honey
You guys are doing amazing work! keep it coming. i supported team kyoshi on patreon and always look forward for the next episode.

huge respect for all the work you guys put into this project!
7:32 well, it's funny when you say that...
Awesome work to everyone who worked on this
This tagaka design is way better than the offical one.
i mean the official is older
Kkachi95 looks better because looks like katara a little bit.
Why doesn’t this have more subscribers?
Her powers are slowly coming to life, but traces of it like her eyes, a trait an avatar only has it.
Dont think that i didn't hear that DIO theme slipped in at 4:40
This is a good week for Avatar fans
Once again outstanding work everyone. Thank you !!!!
Are we getting more? 👀 I'll be waiting

This series continues being a masterpiece!!
Love the use of ‘The Way of the Ghost’!!!!!!
Man Tagaka is no joke.
This is amazing, the quality is impeccable!! :)
Jianzhu earthbends like he's playing Minecraft.
We need more of this 😭😭😭

How didn’t tagaka notice Kyoshi entering the avatar state
Well worth the wait; fantastic!
this was great
Here we gooooooooooooooo
Amazing
Please don't stop the series
love this! eager for the next part
I thought it was pronounced "Pang pang" not "Pong pong" this whole time :/. Other pronunciations I got wrong:
-"Jee-on-zhu"
-"Kell-Sang"
Well obviously kyoshi passed on but does it reveal how she lived to 200 years old!! That's crazy I gotta know if it's in the seried
It is explained in the books.
I live your work
When will you release the next episode 😍
This is what should've been
The next part? This is so interesting
This is so interesting
I love it but one question: why is kirima not doing the water bending intro?😢
I'm a simple man.
I hear songs from "Ghost of Tsushima".
I like and subscribe.
3:32 they really didn’t care about animation in this bit
Is there more episodes
Oh man even here ı cant escape from DIO 4:36
