James, this isn’t directed at you, but I think we need to dial down the excitement just a bit. Yes, it’s great that we beat the Atlanta Falcons-congratulations to the team on that! But we still have seven games left in the season. Let’s give the guy the opportunity to finish out the season before we start evaluating whether he’s genuinely changed the culture here in New Orleans
Box score has truth, but at the end of the first half the saints absolutely dominated the falcons had like 10+ minutes of time of possession almost 200 yards of offense it was really good. The second half is where the falcons turned the tide and said our turn and dominated more statistically, but couldn't turn anything into touchdowns. The saints should've played better in the second half though, hopefully with eric back it helps open up the run game more. To add on there was definitely a change i'd say this game especially with the d-line they didn't play spectacular but played good enough to help with a beat up secondary and that was the key thing we needed and they definitely stepped up.
He let kubiak draw up more deep balls that game, which was something that DA wouldn’t/was afraid to do, although it was absent in the second half besides the AK drop. I think Rizzi will let Kubiak exercise more liberty.
I’m starting to think kubiak may be scared to score to quick like he may like to start fast and then with a lead have drives that are like 10 play drives to kill time but with the players hurt he can’t
I think the plan is to try to play this out just to see where this team is with Rizzi. If we get to the bye at 4-7 I say anything is possible until they lose 2 more games.🤞⚜️
If we beat the Browns and then beat the Rams after the bye I might get hyped for the possibility of making the playoffs...even if we don't win the division (which is still possible if the Falcons fall off), GB currently has the wild card and their remaining schedule looks rough and includes a game vs the Saints. There is still a small but still existent chance we can make the playoffs right now. I know people wanna tank but the players wanna win and the coach deserves his shot to show what he can do
you guy's are full of it! this team did need a new coach but the players are top quality. they needed a leader and their injured needed to come back. But Veterans are the answer for the future. They don't need to be told what to do. They don''t have be trained and there is a steady flow season after season to trade or take by availability.
I give Rizzi a B- as well ❤ I love this show James I watch this everyday you post ‼️I’m Whodat diehard since Bobby Hebert days real New Orleanian since 1992
I’m going by the eye test they played wayyyy harder and with energy u could see it from the start all im saying we did that and we aren’t even at full strength
Im say this is kinda a impressive win for him if you think about it no lattimore no olave no asheed pieces of the line missing not to mention we could have kept at Perry then we didn’t have koolaid no adebo but he was making it work
I know you and Saints fans don’t wanna think about trying to make the playoffs, you rather just get a high draft pick, but I’ll tell you this, in the history of the game there’s only been one coach to make the playoffs as an interim head coach, and his name is Rich Bisaccia, and the quarterback of that team just so happened to be Derek Carr, so if there’s anyone that could do it cars, the man, don’t look towards pretty stats and exuberant numbers, he’s just gonna get the job done to will you guys to the playoffs.
@ well let’s not act like your roster is good, you have a bunch of old aging players who can’t produce like they once, but the NFC is pretty weak in my opinion aside from the lions, so if you can make it into the playoffs, I would say the Saints have a punchers chance to beat anyone, but you crying about this team being one and done like you’re a Super Bowl contender is laughable
What changed is those goofy calls that lose games. You ever see Andy Reid win a game just by his own calculations? We had the Anti-Andy Reid, his opposite, with Dennis Allen. So many points left on the board with D.A. Now we at least have a CHANCE with Rizz he'll be at least somewhat better hopefully! ⚜
I disagree that the punt decision was bad, we had already failed a 4th down attempt and couldn't afford to lose our momentum, defense was playing great I was happy with the decision, I believe the Falcons could've gotten the stop and scored because of the momentum switch and I don't like Derek Carr when we're down.
It was just a feel-good win. I expect us to go 6-11. Our roster is awful. I mean, ATL is in the top five offensively in DVOA, but you still let them get 6.0 yards per play and over 4 yards a carry, which is not good. The defense is still dog water, especially with no outside corners besides Taylor, who was alright this game. I don't think the players around him helped, so. Offensively I think we can be alright just hard to grade while yes Klint did sort of shell up I mean at the same time you have practice squad WR, our TE group is nobodies, and offensively I mean besides Penning and Fuaga they are garbage we really need McCoy back so thank god he is coming back this week, you cannot just dump it to AK41 30 times and the rest give it to Hill, although I probably would have done that tbh especially considering the roster offensively. We don't have the talent to get us enough wins even with everyone healthy, our front 7 is still bad, secondary only Taylor and Kool-Aid are good, and we have weapons offensively but 1 or 2 down we are rolling out with practice players, got get better at roster management and draft impactful young cheap players.
Happy with Ward or Milroe too. Waiting another year to take a QB just extends the rebuild by another year when we SHOULD BE IN YEAR 4 of the damn rebuild. Dammit Mickey, just retire
@@divineeternity7268 All good Divine, Gayle should give Drizzi a full year next year. If she can find a good GM by then. Honestly, whether we pick 1st or 32nd- if Loomis is here he will f up those picks.
Alot of the things got fixed on the operational side of things. But saints showed they have talent and don't have a dead energy. All those hamstring issues was really players not wanting to play.
Dude, I’m disappointed in you James. You’ve been covering the team now and I’ve been watching you for over two years and you mean to tell me that you don’t know who Kevin Austin is. We pick him up in the preseason at training camp. They signed him really.
It's ONE game! But at least now, I'm not going into next week thinking, "In what way will we lose now?". So there's that
It’s nice to win one after the last seven.
Carr back, D.A. gone, there's hope for us.
Yes but it’s one game against a team that was actually better than us. DA has only done that a couple times in the last couple years
Feels illegal to be this early lol, he definitely got them in check and reenergized this team AND the fans! Love the Rizzler man❤️💪😤
@@thegrantreaper7146 Nice speed!
My man was so hype he had a mini stroke, DA never showed much emotion at all..

James, I am just glad I did not see mason Tipton , Bub means getting thrown to on 3rd down.
