Finally we get someone who knows what to do when posting top speed videos on UA-cam!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR PUTTING UP THE TOP SPEED IN BOTH KPH AND MPH TOO !!! THANKS AGAIN 😅
If you have ever ridden a real vintage motorcycle with a "Magnetic" (Not Chronometric) speedo, you will feel that the accuracy of this speedo is just about right!
LOL it has always been the case with Benelli. But if you know how the speedo works, there is no problem. If you don't know you really wonder why even truckers are speeding. Really fun bike though, despite the speedo.
Hi! Do you think I would be mistreating the bike's engine if I sat on the highway at 120 km/h (from the speedometer) for long periods of time? I like the look of this bike but I'm looking for something that can travel on the highway
For this bike, between 115-120 km/h feels like the sweet spot in fifth gear: No vibrations to speak of and still a little bit left for overtaking. This bike is perfectly suitable for normal highway riding.
@@francesco6075 Yes, I have mine now for 3 months and have ridden more than 6,000 km -- most of which during highway commuting. On the highway, the consumption is 28-31 km per liter.
@@SportsterXL1200S Sorry I have one more question, these bikes are in scarcity around my area :) How is the seating position? I'm around 1.70 meters tall, maybe a bit less. Do you think I'd be having to angle forward with my back and therefore have a certain load on the wrists to ride this bike? I'm trying to go for more of a cruiser feel, I get this bike is not like that but still better than a sportbike or a modern naked :)
Excursus me, a question: your bike “goes” 150 km/h ( taki ) @ 6800 rpm; do you the original ratio ( final transmission ) 14/46? It seems anyway too short ( overspeed: + 1300 rpm!!!😳🤨🧐….,. Don’t you think is better to use a “longer” final ratio , for instance = 16/44? In this way you can have more max speed, cause at 6800 rpm the power is less than before ; I suppose that with 16/44 final ratio ( 2,75 ) instead of original 14/46 ( 3,286 ) you can gain = ( approx ) 131 km/h ( taki 152 km/h ) @ 5780 rpm; And also = higher cruiser speed, more comfort, less consumption ….. and less engine stress…… or not? Bye
I'm sorry, can't recall. The top speed itself has got a closer image perhaps you can see what digits are where the needle is at 115 km/h in the video if you compare it to where it is at top speed.
The gearing is 12.4 mph per 1000 rpm relative to gps speed, not speedo. The peak torque arrives at 4,500, which is where the sweet spot will be, & equals 56 mph true speed by gps, not speedo. Maximum power arrives at 5,500, & equals a true 68.2 mph. I personally thought the engine was virtually without vibration at any rpm. A really sweet engine. But I wouldn't advise cruising above 5,500, as there is no point thrashing any engine beyond its designed limits.
You can calculate as such. Take the ratio (which is constant as long as as gear is the same) between rpm/speed by what is shown in the video. Then do like 129(GPS):6800=115:X. The result is 6000 rpm at 115 (gps)
