I am like a broken record on this: IMO, it is REQUIRED (not merely supplemental) to be a fat burner producing ketones to help feed/provide substrate for our big brains. The only way to have brain health for life.
I am 65 and ApoE4. I am counting on my ketones! So far so good. I develop software for the International Space Station.

As I have encountered many people as well as attesting of myself that are/ have suffered from mood disorders and aggressive (flight or fight) kind of mental state. Probably most of the world is in this stressed out state of being heavily from the nutrient deficiencieny that is plaguing us.We pile our plates full of frankenfood and just have slivers of nutrient dense foods. Our brains are crying out for the right nutrients while we are harming our body's as well as harming others by our mental state by lashing out with aggressive behaviors or causing chaos amongst ourselves. While this is happening the elite that(big pharma, big food, politicians heck anyone being corrupt by the love of money and not of people's well-being) are laughing at the common folk that have fell into their scheme. Knowledge is power, taking action is crucial and questioning people's motives( are they just trying to make a buck or really trying to help people?) Is very important tactics to live by these days. Thankful for you and this community/space for all you do to spread helpful information. Be viligant my friends.

Good discussion. Video ended prematurely and I felt like host should speak less than guest. Hope next episode is coming up.

I apologise for being a terrible interviewer. I was so excited a out this interview that I overspoke and interrupted Stephen. So sorry about that. He is one of my heros.

We were/are ALL excited to hear every phrase that Stephen has to share . . . such an even keeled, applied scientist - we are all obliged to his research and low ego approach to sharing info/seeing both sides. Modest as heck . . . Thank you Robert for having him on. I hope you can entice him to come again.

Thank God you acknowledged this. I’m 20 minutes in and was about to have a fit in the comments. Please try not to interrupt so much in future and take your ego out of thing.

Among other points, it is fascinating to know (~39.5m) that ketones are preferred brain fule when present in sufficient amounts. An interesting question raised is what is the effect on kids that develop without the ketone=signaling molecules! Focus and attention mechanisms? Emotional regulation mechanisms? Memory mechanisms? Immune?

Too many questions all at once. I know this topic excites you but slow down and ask one question at a time. 😀
