      I agree.
I’m extremely fascinated in animals and insects. They are utterly amazing and interesting.
We haven’t even discovered half of all of the animals nor the ocean.
It does sadden me that a lot of animals are extinct or endangered.
If I could, I would give all of my power to bring their population back.

The only mole I’ve ever seen, is one I caught crossing the road. I put it in a tank overnight and filled it with nightcrawlers. I’ll never forget how soft it was.

Hey friend. Northern Michigan here. I pour concrete walls. Big holes get dug for us to put in foundations. I'm always on the look out for little critters in our holes. A few weeks back I come across a little mole. I helped him/her out so they wouldn't get stepped on. I have quite the reputation for helping out the critters. I go way out of my way to help. Someone has to. Your videos are interesting. Thank you for sharing.

We probably owe our existence to mammals that filled a very similar ecological niche. The mammals that survived the kt impact where most likely predominantly subterranean. Allowing them to avoid the extreme surface heat in the immediate aftermath. I'd imagine moles would fare pretty well if another impact where to happen, or even a nuclear Armageddon.

I have also held a mole in my hand. We were walking in a very old part of a protected national park that takes quite a hike to go to. And under a tree on a big bed of moss was a dead mole. Still warm. We had no plausible cause to how it died but it just laid there. Maybe a snake who bit in selfdefense? But why was it on the surface? We dont know. But it was so soft. Softer than any material or fur ive ever felt. We put it on an anthill because we figured we could keep the skeleton. After two days, most of the skeleton was exposed, and we saw that the scull was fractured. How? Anybody knows? We have wolverines in Sweden and one poisonous snake species.
