  • I had problems with my Phone. Hopefully UPS will find me in the next few days and I can start using my new Cameras. Just bear with me they (the videos) will get better. I found out that I didn't need to take out the PTO shaft on the 6400 like I did on the 4230 to replace the seal. I'm "Learning something new every day"

Squeeze the snap ring and pull on the shaft. Should make it easier for you ; )

very helpful. My 6415 PTO just quit, I can hear the PTO clutch engaging when I pull and turn the PTO knob but the shafts not turning, any ideas?

Does the PTO shaft turn freely when the tractor is not running? By "freely" I mean real easy.

Unfortunately it sounds like clutch or you've sheared a gear. You'll have to take the PTO rear housing off to get to them. It's not a easy fix. Also you'll need JD alignment tools to do it right.

I don't think the quality is bad, just a tip, maybe tryto position the camera above the area you are working and looking down so that you aren't blocking the view with your body. Camera placement can be tricky :( Also a thought, wind is a problem for ANY camera. A cheap solution is to go to the store and buy a stuffed toy or dog toy with medium long (1/2in) fur. Cut a tiny chunk and find your cameras microphone, glue a strip on either side of the mic hole, close enough to almost cover the hole but not quite. This will deaden the wind and only affect your sound quality the tiniest bit. Expensive cameras have options to buy this, I just made one for my Cannon G7X, works great!

Thank you for the tips. I've got some video stuff coming and I hope it will help. Great idea about the toy. Stubby has a few of them and I'm sure he won't mind me borrowing the tail. Oh and I love your "can do" attitude, ya never know what you can do till ya try. Keep on goin'

Just undo the Negative battery cable before you start. You always want to unhook the battery before ya start anything electrical. It's like replacing the battery; always hook up the negative cable last, that way you don't hit your wrench against any metal and cause sparks. Oh and thank you for subscribing. Keep on goin'
