Just ordered these for my 03. Truck already runs really good, but a few weeks ago I threw a timing belt, and even after repairing it, it was throwing misfire codes. So I replaced the crankshaft sensor, all 8 ignition coil packs with brand new Denso packs, some NGK Ruthenium plugs, a new AGM battery (old battery was just going bad at the same time), and now I'll have the new pink 250cc 12 hole injectors as well. It's already cleared the codes from misfiring (pretty sure the new ignition coils solved that) but I bought the injectors as well just to be sure, plus I've always wanted to try them out. Love the 2uz-fe engine, and Keith from Dirty Deeds is an old friend who lives a few blocks away, so if there's some kind of an issue I can just drive by his house and say hello , lol. It's very interesting that changing injectors affect how it shifts, but I'll be paying close attention to that.
Awesome. How long did it take you to do the job? Did your engine light ever go off? I just finished up my timing belt and water pump today. Old belt didn’t even have marks on there for the crank and cams so who knows if it was in time. My truck shifts way better with the oem belt and new parts. I’ve been on the fence about these injectors. Your video is convincing me tho.
Any ideas on why you noticed smoother shifting after replacing injectors? I have an '05 with 205k miles and was looking into replacing the injectors as a project, to see if it improves performance which has obviously dropped off since it was new
I’m not sure on the exact reason why but if you check out dirty deeds website I believe it explains more in depth. And I would also recommend looking into a valve adjustment. I’ve heard lots of good things about restoring lost power from doing so.
In my experience the smoother shifting is related to spark plug issue. I had an 01 tundra 4.7 that had one plug that would only misfire between 40-60 mph, and it would stuttter and feel like trans was slipping. My dad and I thought it was transmission related, changed filter, fluid, shift solenoid, didn't fix it. The truck was bought with 311,000 miles, and we didn't know service history, so I said plugs don't cost much lets try that, guess what, it fixed it. It also never threw a code for the misfire.
@@andrewn5151wow thanks for this comment, I got an 06 with only 107k and I’m noticing that same issue but theres no code. I was going to do the plugs anyway but now I might do them sooner. It’s not bad the shift is just very noticeable, for me atleast
Changing your upstream oxygen sensors can help with mpg. They can get “lazy” with age and work well enough to not throw a check engine light, but not working at optimum performance.
You just uploaded this? I was literally just looking for some videos because I’m planning to install these tomorrow in my 2003 tundra. Got any other performance upgrades you installed and recommend?
That’s crazy timing man! This is the first performance upgrade I’ve done to this truck. I’m searching for more as well so if you find any cool ones let me know
@@TheShopBros Awesome same here! I just bought a trailer and it towed it pretty well but I wanted to get a little more from the truck. So far i've installed some air bags since my leaf springs were pretty rough and it was bottoming out during the tow. The fuel injectors are the big one for me and then possibly cold air intake or some new headers.
@@TheShopBros Awesome! they were a pretty easy install, if interested I can send links to what I bought. The controller is the best part to change the pressure on the fly

How did the injectors do?
Why didn't you run the truck then pull the fuel relay and let the truck shut off?
I think I'll opt for 12 hole injectors, thanks!
Any gas mileage changes?
My injectors were so bad before i did the swap that I instantly noticed a gain in mpg. But I cant speak for a truck with properly working injectors
I have been thinking about this one and I have the correct answer for my toyota tundra sr5 extra cab

It took me about 2 hours and the engine light went right off. My truck is running better than ever

Any affect on MPG?
My injectors were so bad before I did the swap so my truck instantly gained more mpg.
Did u get the 250cc or 270cc did u spend the extra 100 on the adapter
I just got the 250cc. They recommended those for my year model

I was going to put air bags on mine for pulling my camper. But I bought an f350 to pull it with now. I still might install them though
