When Robin left, Pooh didn't lose his mind and start killing. He remained loving and friendly. Always there for his best friend. Their best friend. Geez I'm crying.
There's a lot of symbolism in this film. It just shows that sometimes you just need to take a deep breath and enjoy life. I feel like that this is a lesson we need as we get older.
That's how my life was before i tried out all the productive exercise in the name of chasing success. It only made over stressed and become bedridden now.
Same! I couldn’t explain it but I found myself tearing up. I think you’re right it’s his innocence and his melancholy optimism. When he asks Christopher Robin if he’ll forget about him. I started to tear up. Pooh also reminds me of my little pug that passed away last year. I always thought, if he could talk he would sound just like little Pooh bear 💔😔
Avrillove11 Not in movies. But in real life. Winnie the Pooh and his friends are based on plushies owned by Christopher Robin Milne. He was the son of A.A. Milne (author of the books) August 21 1920 was Christopher Robin's birth. He recived a teddy bear on his 1st birthday. (That's the reason why they say the qoute) He named it Edward at first, but when he befriended a bear called Winnie, his father wrote the book, and the child renamed his teddy bear.
I think most of us who care to admit that we all hold a special little place in our hearts for Winnie The Pooh. One of my favorite quotes over the many years of watching him has always been " The Things That Make Me Different Are The Things That Make Me" 🐶
I sobbed for the entire duration of the film. Left the theatre with swollen eyes. Had to wait an hour with a coffee afterwards. My eyes were sore but my heart was warm.
We can agree that when Christopher Robin yelled at Pooh in the woods whilst getting lost broke our hearts. He had no right to yell at such an innocent precious baby. I have all the plushies from the movie too and they are so cute!
My family (we watched it in theaters) was looking over at me as I had glassy eyes and squeezing my Winnie the Pooh (I have had him since I was year old) a little tighter when Christopher Robin was yelling at him.
In this movie it seemed to me that pooh was actually super self aware and actually knew what he was doing the whole time just to help Christopher live a better life. His innocents was just an act.
"May I have a travel balloon?" "You don't need a balloon." "I know I don't need one, but I would like one very very much. Please? Pleeeeeease?" *Christopher goes and buys the balloon* Gets me everytime. This is literally my internal dialouge about debating to buy something I want.
I remember seeing this movie when it came out. I was a literal child, but I got the message of it. When life is getting tough, and you feel like giving up, it might help to go back and visit places in your mind that made you happy. That it’s ok to feel lost in the world, and that it’s ok because everyone goes through this.
I’m a 92 baby. I was 26 years old when this movie came out and it stilll made my heart feel and made me cry like a baby! Pooh brought me back to my childhood and all the memories came back. The next day I went to the nearest mall and straight to the Disney store and re bought a Winnie the Pooh to never forget him ever again.
I feel like it reflects Christopher Milne's life somewhat, as a child he enjoyed playing with Pooh, but as he got older and had to deal with being Christopher Robin he hated it and tried to forget Pooh, but later on in life he came to stand on his own and once again with Pooh.
