these are very cool, but my budget woud hardly survive buying somethig like that, and a lot of antkeepers can rely to this, so why don't you make a video about making a low budget ant nest? It woud be helpfull for people that don't have a lot of money, or like to make things themselves. People might also need it because of both reasons just like me.
Is there a easy way to change the water in a fully nested tube besides trying to get them to move in a new tube in the Saturn? I'm worried that is where the nightmare hides
Yeah, if the colony already occupies all of the test tubes there's no other way around it, you need to move them out temporarily to refill the test tube
As someone who has founded 7 sp in large Saturns I can say they are definitely better over the venus, more space, more tubes, better gradient of heat for the ants to choose from, great viewing, good price as it'll last waay longer If not for good if you just add nests on in future, can put them in from just a queen with maybe a half rolled tin foil on the test tube to slide, and then you won't have to disturb her at all. I am a massive Saturn fan 🤣
Great video! I use both Saturns and Venus nests. If I could only use one of them ever again, I would pick the Saturn without a doubt! Great size out worlds, grows with the colony, when you need to remove a tube it’s all contained. Think the Venus is handy too, but definitely Saturn for the win! 🪐🪐🪐❤🐜🐜🐜
