Thank you for a great reaction video. This was from a summer sing- along tv show called "Allsang på grensen " in Frediksten fortress, Halden in Norway. Yeah Angelina is special, unique and has the ability to touch our souls again and again 😊
I love seeing other people having the same reaction as me. I'm 71, she brings tears of pleasure to my eyes every time I hear her sing. Only discovered her 7 days ago, can't get enough. Found the video called Goosebumps part 2 yesterday. listened to it over and over again for 4 hours.
Dinah Washington sang this and Angelina more than does it justice. This is such a stunning performance and to think she sang this in front of all those people when she was 8 years old.
Don’t worry about crying she does it to us all welcome to the world of Angelina she will never disappoint you trust me she’s like a magnet 🧲 that pulls you in and once your hooked your hooked you have a long journey to get through all Angelina’s songs but believe me you will love ❤️ every single second trust me Love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴🏴🏴💖👸🏻👸🏻👼👼🦶😘XX
Angelina Jordan is a music prodigy specializing in vocals. This song was made famous by Dinah Washington and I just looked at her video and Angelina has more views than Dinah! Angelina's voice is the most beautiful, soulful, emotional voice I have ever heard. Angelina says she goes to a different world when she sings, a world of unending happiness and she has the talent to take us to that world. Angelina is a gift from the universe.
Nothing wrong with the tears, SuzzyQ ! I'm a 65 year old man, and I still get choked up after seeing this about 30 times! Great reaction! Please keep them coming! If you're going chronologically according to Rusty Shackleford's list, you will soon come to "I Put a Spell on You," her tribute to "Screamin' Jay" Hawkins' 1956 song. And, yes, with THAT performance (at age 9), she WILL "put a spell on you"! Be sure it's the "black and white video" version when you come to it! It's mind-blowing!
Angelina has no fear. The song is by Dinah Washington a great old jazz classic. Listen to her sing "fly me to the moon" on the tv show called "The View"
Thank you for your great reaction to Angelina. "What A Difference A Day Makes" was written in 1934, but the definitive version of it was recorded by Dinah Washington in 1959. This is the version that Angelina covers. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/OmBxVfQTuvI/v-deo.html Angelina doesn't sing songs. She sings emotions that go directly to our souls to create beauty and joy. This is Angelina's world. We just live in it!
Angelina sings soul to soul, It's a spiritual experience. If you were never were sure you had a soul, she will prove it to you, she will reveal hers and touch yours. .
I think it would be impossible for anyone not to be mesmerized, transfixed, and otherwise amazed by her performance here. And so it goes with Angelina - also a beautiful human being on top of all that talent.
Oh what a touching reaction. Yes this young girl has a big heart and immeasurable talent. She is a gift to us and we are so fortunate to be in her wonderful world 💖💖
Her album, Magic, is American Songbook Standards and she stands as tall as Ella, Nina, and Billie. Not kidding. Make an Angelina Spotify channel and your day becomes great, dreamy even.
Haha! Now you did it. One Angelina song may make you curious. Two Angelina songs and you're hooked. A lot of fans like chronological order. I like that as a baseline with some jumps forward. I Put a Spell On You (Screamin' Jay Hawkins cover. black/white studio version when she's 9)changes how you think about 9 year old singers. Bohemian Rhapsody at age 13 on America's Got Talent the Champions last January is exceptional! Haha. There are so many and you have the links from both reactions. Her voice will change, her style will change, the genre will change, but it's always Angelina and it's always good. Early jazz is support for most of what she does. Norway's Got Talent at 7/8 let the world first experience this Angel. You will feel some songs like you never have before. Stay with her (her cover of Rhianna's Stay is more emotional. Or Adele's A Million Years Ago or...) Your world will change.
Wow, she got you to cry on your second reaction to her. Nice. [grin] I can tell you are going to absolutely _love_ your Angelina Jordan journey. Imagine what she'll do to you singing a song that's actually sad! [grin] Subscribing now…
As a longtime Angel-ina fan, we all understand your reactions and trust me, we're there with you! Look out for Rusty Shackleford (I think that's how it's spelled) you won't be disappointed...I am excited for more Angel-ina reactions! Be well!
Sweet vibrato, gorgeous melismas, intriguing raspiness and vocal fry as well as voice maturity and therapeutic benefits from the vibrational frequency, and there you have the fundamental basics of the miracle of Angelina, let alone her genius. That is why we cry at listening to her and sharing her magic: an open singing soul fluttering her wings and dancing around to find ours, hiding in the secrecy of our privacy. You just used the word I use: captivating, to which I would add this one: captive. The secret of her appeal is to seduce, then to attract for the purpose of soothing and healing through love, peace and jy. Can you see how happy Angelina is to simply sing love, to celebrate openly her commitment to love at all costs?
Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤️💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song ❤️💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤️💙 I am a believer in reincarnation, & find it very intriguing that Lou Rawls, the American Jazz & blues singer legend, dies, the same day Angelina is born 😊 Loved your reaction!!!I
When recommending Angelina's FLY ME TO THE MOON, most of her fans point the reviewer back to either her performance von The View (8 years old) or her music video version (9 or 10 years old), both acoustic. My favorite is her rendition for Quincy Jones' 85th birthday celebration, where she has a full, big band, orchestra backing her up. Her voice just dances along, floating on top of the fantastic accompaniment. Simple but magical, at least to my ears. This video is the rehearsal with the live version audio mixed in. ua-cam.com/video/OMkwoqUNNkE/v-deo.html
And something else - she's got two or three versions of several songs. I have stuck with one version for a while, then switched over to another one. I appreciated the differences in each one and, even if I claim one as a Favorite, the others are still there. There is no need to pick as if I'd exclude her other performances.
Some people like to research each song they're about to react to, to see who sang it (or popularized it) originally, and maybe even to listen to the original artist's rendition (a combination of Wikipedia and UA-cam searches is good for this). This is actually encouraged by many AJ fans, since the more familiar you are with the original, the more you will tend to appreciate what Angelina is doing in her version (the similarities and, more importantly, the differences). Of course, other people don't like to do that, because they feel like it makes their reaction less of a "first time" experience. It just depends on what you're comfortable with… In the case of this song, if you had heard Dinah Washington's original, you would have been even more blown away, I think, comparing Angelina's vocal to hers. She (Angelina) started really leaning in to that "back of the throat" style of singing (heard here, for example, when she sings "I'm a part of you, dear") at least a few months before this performance, when she was still on _Norway's Got Talent_ [Norske Talenter]. She has used it quite a bit since, in her jazz covers as well as when she sings Amy Winehouse songs (OMG, just wait till you hear those). OBTW, when you react to her NGT and AGT [America's Got Talent] performances, be sure to pause sufficiently to avoid copyright issues. The "Got Talent" franchise shows tend to be pretty strict about that, especially if you include the judges' comments. (In particular, her "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" performances on AGT are the "worst" in terms of getting reactions to them blocked or taken down. You should be relatively safe if you react to Angelina's performances only - ua-cam.com/video/OU_R7jcL69E/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/4XOMskgN8w4/v-deo.html - and pause every verse or so to interject comments.)
There are very, very few singers who go to such a beautiful place and, in the moment, take you there with her. Subscribed to see your journey with Angelina.
A lady came up to Angelina after she won Norway's Got Talent, and told her that her singing made her cry. Being the humble (and at the time naive) girl that she is, Angelina apologized, saying "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry". I happened upon this gifted child about 5 years ago, and have listened to most of her songs hundreds of times, and still wipe away tears almost every time. How someone so young, can convey such emotion, that she should know nothing about, simply amazes me. I look forward to following you, as you discover this gift from God.
This was written in 1934 by Maria Grever, who was the first successful female Mexican songwriter. She wrote it as "Cuando Vuelva A Tu Lado," which translates to "When It returns To Your Side," but for English consumption the lyricist Stanley Adams rewrote it as "What a Diff'rence a Day Made." The Dorsey Brothers Orchestra recorded it with the English lyrics in 1934, and their version was a #5 hit. Many artists have recorded it since, but Washington's version has become the most popular. It was her first hit and also the first hit for the songwriter Grever.

You're wonderful. What a nice reaction. She is touching your heart and soul and that's why you are reacting the way you are. It takes the brain a little longer to understand what is going on.
Hi SuzzyQ, nice to see you again - what a wonderfull, nice, emotional reaction. Love it. Btw. in my last comment (I wrote only some minutes before ;-) ) I gave you the links to the first singing of AJ: A few seconds of her 1,5 yo and her first recording in a studio with 6yo... :-D
"Who was the song by?" The answer to this question is always found at Secondhandsongs.com. This site is a user-contributed database of song information about more than 900,000 covers of more than 100,000 original songs. Searching on the song's name will take you here: secondhandsongs.com/work/11650 Click on "Versions" and then scroll down the 312 different versions to find this cover by Angelina -- released 12/17/16. The first recorded version was in 1934 by a man named Jimmie Ague. Angelina is the rarest of singing talents. Barely a teenager (now), she beats most of the female singers who have ever recorded a performance. As she matures, it's hard to imagine what she will eventually be able to do.
I believe this is at Allsang Pa Grensen, or Sing Along at the Border on the border of Sweden and Norway; the Scandanavian languages are similar enough that they can be mutually intelligible since they are all derived from Old Norse.
I'm a year-long Angelina fan and after seeing your first two reactions, I can tell ya, "You ain't heard nuthin' yet, darlin'." By the way... if you keep going, the phrase "I wasn't prepared for this" and blurted out exclamations like "WHA-?!!" will be fairly normal. As for the tears - Great Art produces Great Emotions. Nuthin' wrong with that - I'll bet every Angelina fan streamed out tears in response to how her music impacts us.
Yo, check out her rendition of,what a wonderful world at the age of 7... it’s a rehearsal, it’s the best rendition of this song I’ve heard in my life 🤣💕 And I’ve been listening to music for years..
Just astounding how an ?8? Year old child can stand out in the middle of a large crowd and deliver a competent performance, much less a spectacular performance such as this.
I really liked your reaction.. it was really nice.. you really should react to her "I put a spell on you" (the black & white video). Yes, this is in Norway, almoust on the border to Sweden.. love from Norway 🇳🇴
Another beautiful reaction Suzzy. When Angelina is so identified with her source of inspiration, she leaves me absolutely amazed ... how is it possible that a little girl (in this case at 8 years old) is so incredibly emotional and talented as a professional singer to completely involve and fascinate the her audience. She is simply fantastic, when she closes her eyes really seems to be in contact with Dinah Washington. 🤗 💗
I saw a short interview she did , one question was, what are you thinking when your singing. answer wow she said , I go into another world when I sing. I think she was around 10 for that interview.
Here's the link for Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday, which Angelina sang on Norway's Got Talent in the elimination rounds; you MUST see the judges reaction at how she puts them in a trance where they can't believe what they're heariing from a seven year old and even call her an "old soul" too.
YESSSS!! don't worry I was weeping too, and that's what this performance does time every single time, so thank you for reaction to what I myself consider, her best perfomance ever and the first video I ever watched from her and the one that just made me fall in love with Angelina and the starting point of my own journey, yeah, so I've been around this girl for that long and yet it feels like is not enough Angelina in my life, it never gets old to listen to her but everytime I love her more and more, she is such an Angel-ina haha (her name fits her perfectly) and such A-star (which is also part of her whole name "Angelina Jordan Astar") so you see this is no coincidence she was destined to be a gift for the whole world, I truly believe so, and I'm just so glad I'm part of the time where Angelina is so much alive and a growing living legend and we all are so blessed to watch her progress from the very beginning of her life is just... no adjective to describe her, all words fall short for what she's done so far and still has a long way to go so God bless her always and hope you will feel the same way.
Haven't gotten to the actual reaction part yet, but I just wanted to say, you have an amazing voice. I had to go to your channel to see if you were a radio personality or something. Apparently not. Maybe you should consider it though? [grin] OK, back to the video…

Btw. in my last comment (I wrote only some minutes before ;-) ) I gave you the links to the first singing of AJ: A few seconds of her 1,5 yo and her first recording in a studio with 6yo... :-D
Because God works in mysterious ways!
🙏🙏👍
Great reaction to this beautiful singing Prodigy.
:-)) Love
Dinah Washington sang this song "What a difference a day makes"
Your next Angelina🇧🇻 reaction; Gloomy
Sunday from NGT - her first public appearance🥰

The first recorded version was in 1934 by a man named Jimmie Ague.
Angelina is the rarest of singing talents. Barely a teenager (now), she beats most of the female singers who have ever recorded a performance. As she matures, it's hard to imagine what she will eventually be able to do.
Your the best Corker x, you always delivers💕👍
All songs are her own arrangements. For one of her own songs try Shield live.
I believe this is at Allsang Pa Grensen, or Sing Along at the Border on the border of Sweden and Norway; the Scandanavian languages are similar enough that they can be mutually intelligible since they are all derived from Old Norse.
I'm right with you. The was my first exposure to her 5 yrs ago and I fell in love
Summer Time was composed as an aria by George Gershwin for Porgy and Bess in the mid 1930's, I believe.
AJ sang I who have nothing at a 6. 1.5 she had microphone in her had singing Whitney Houston song.
All 2020 when we were in lockdown, Angelina Jordon kept me going. I like jazz and she sings great jazz.
Angelina is my treatment for dry eyes.
Emoção, sempre!! Angelina canta com sua voz que vem da alma
Thank you for watching 👀
Great reaction. Thank you.
Yo, check out her rendition of,what a wonderful world at the age of 7... it’s a rehearsal, it’s the best rendition of this song I’ve heard in my life 🤣💕
And I’ve been listening to music for years..
Just astounding how an ?8? Year old child can stand out in the middle of a large crowd and deliver a competent performance, much less a spectacular performance such as this.
I 💘 her..
I really liked your reaction.. it was really nice.. you really should react to her "I put a spell on you" (the black & white video). Yes, this is in Norway, almoust on the border to Sweden.. love from Norway 🇳🇴
Love 💘 you too, I did a reaction on that song already, please check it out..
@@lifewithsuzzyq2039 i did see that, i wrote this before you did. Take care! 😊
Beautful and lovely reactions♥️👍🎶
Here's the link for Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday, which Angelina sang on Norway's Got Talent in the elimination rounds; you MUST see the judges reaction at how she puts them in a trance where they can't believe what they're heariing from a seven year old and even call her an "old soul" too.
Captivated, exactly right
Peace
This concert is in Norway on the border with Sweden she has sung at this venue in the summers since 2014 except 2020.
YESSSS!! don't worry I was weeping too, and that's what this performance does time every single time, so thank you for reaction to what I myself consider, her best perfomance ever and the first video I ever watched from her and the one that just made me fall in love with Angelina and the starting point of my own journey, yeah, so I've been around this girl for that long and yet it feels like is not enough Angelina in my life, it never gets old to listen to her but everytime I love her more and more, she is such an Angel-ina haha (her name fits her perfectly) and such A-star (which is also part of her whole name "Angelina Jordan Astar") so you see this is no coincidence she was destined to be a gift for the whole world, I truly believe so, and I'm just so glad I'm part of the time where Angelina is so much alive and a growing living legend and we all are so blessed to watch her progress from the very beginning of her life is just... no adjective to describe her, all words fall short for what she's done so far and still has a long way to go so God bless her always and hope you will feel the same way.
Yess, her name fits her, she is an angel 😇
Thank you for reacting to Angelina Jordan, it is a great reaction !!! Love from The Netherlands
Thanks for watching 💕
Haven't gotten to the actual reaction part yet, but I just wanted to say, you have an amazing voice. I had to go to your channel to see if you were a radio personality or something. Apparently not. Maybe you should consider it though? [grin] OK, back to the video…
Ahhhh ...thanks,but I'm just a simply lady😄😄💕
@@lifewithsuzzyq2039 I agree, I reckon you could easily be on the radio or something with your own show. But hopefully still doing what your already doing, cause your fantastic.🤗
Now that is a reaction!! 😍
Wow amazing 😮 👏
