A stock E36 is slower. The official e36 laptime is 8.35 full lap for the 3 litre. That equals about 8.13 btg. The official NSX laptime is 8.16 full lap or 7.54 btg.
DCfreakshow Thanks. Hard to say, but I think that I would be able to get a 7.53-54 on a good day. Maybe faster now that I have better tyres and a better setup.
Good lap my friend! It shows the inherent balance of the wonderful NSX. The Kumho tyres sounded like they were somewhat limiting. Too bad there were so many slow cars out there.
I love your laps on the Nurburgring, Cressida, Rental BMW or this NSX, this is pure madness ! You're pushing so hard ! Looks like you need some more practise, more progressive suspension, maybe some better tires (?), less people on the track and you'll be able to do an amazing btg time :o Thanks for sharing this with us !
Foscora Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I only got four laps with the NSX, so definitely need more practice with it. And 235's at the rear doesn't quite cut it. Makes it fun on normal tracks, but too loose at speed. I think by dialong it in it should do 7.45's easy with stock power.
I love your videos so much man keep putting them out I'm with you till the end and I made sure to put on the Bell so I can see when you put out a new video thanks for the content man keep it up much love from the US
That's a fantastic time for a stock NA1. No doubt you would perform better if you'd perfected, had the time, money etc. It's a time not far away from what I'd think a race driver might get in my fream daily. I'm impressed both by yourself and the car, a platform almost 30yrs old. Get that sub 8 minute up on here. Good luck
lovely video Fredrik, I love how the slightly iffy camera focus gives the video a ragged look. Just love hearing the NSX scream. Bit of a moment after PG1? easily held or getting away? You're pushing quite hard on TF, please be sure to stay alive, NS dont take prisoners. Perhaps do some RCN instead?
Thanks man. Yeah, the ABS doesn't like getting airborne in pg1, so I couldn't slow down enough. Carried a bit too much speed into the corner and had to turn the car on the brakes, letting the rear hang loose for a bit while I scrubbed off speed. No drama, but I did lose some time :P I'm comfortable with pushing a bit, although this is about as fast as I want to go in TF. I wish I could do RCN. I did a VLN race years ago, but it's just getting too damn expensive. If you know of a cheap seat, let me know :D
You should update the Wikipedia page for lap times! This makes you the 3rd quickest NSX, but the others were NSX-R's, and 10 seconds quicker than the previous quickest NSX (non-R). Fastest NSX on the ring of any type was 8:03.86 in 1995.
Yeah, but those are the official full laps and not the tourist (BtG) laptimes. The official time for the stock NA1 was a 8.16. However, the NSX will need ~27 seconds to cover the Döttinger Höhe. Then gain back 6-7 seconds by starting the BtG lap at full speed. So in reality the official lap would be ~7.54 BtG. A time I think I could match quite easily with a bit more practice and better suspension. My D2's are crap and the car is kinda slammed, making it very unstable on turn-in and in compressions. I would probably be faster on good stock suspension. As much as I would love to beat the original lap with a stock car, I will probably get the KW Type 3's and better tyres this summer, so I will have an unfair advantage on my next visit compared to Kurosawa ;)
TheGrungeManiak Thanks man. But I should point out that he did the full lap. However, if you watch the videos side by side, I seem to be slightly faster whenever I am not in traffic. But so many variables could be different that this is othing but fun speculation :)
@@FredrikSoerlie hello, thank you for the answer. I have a 1992 stock Honda Nsx for a few months i had a stock A80 twin turbo for 20 years , and i want to keep my NSX stock as well. Whats your advice to the NSX. Is the car as reliable as Supra? Cheers
wow i know this is probably a rare chassis for ppl to track, but if it can do this with just worn coils, imagine what a better prepped nsx could do at the ring
the strange sound comes from seat or suspension part ? every time i see a time fight inside ring . i find myself thinking its impossible to have time chasing and rolling on street the same car !!!
Your NSX is lucky to have you as its driver 👍🏼
You absolute legend! THIS is how the NSX should be driven.
1.2+ lateral g's, 8 minute lap, with public traffic...madness. share more and thank your wrench!
How come that e36m3 (stock engine) is much faster? 7:25btg

Great Driving. Senna is looking down upon you smiling :)
i watch this video at least twice a week
what a drive. not many nsx will ever be treated with a driver of your skill
This is how the NSX was meant to be drivin, exactly. Thanks!!
Just made my Sunday morning that much better watching this
Wow amazing skills! What impresses me the most is that a Civic Type R is almost 20 seconds quicker than the legendary NSX. Crazy.
30hp more and pro driver, the old cars would make better times with the tires of today.
@@llavero5 of course, common sense. But they wont be 20 seconds quicker with better tires.
Good lap my friend! It shows the inherent balance of the wonderful NSX. The Kumho tyres sounded like they were somewhat limiting. Too bad there were so many slow cars out there.
Man, when you hit those speeds at corners, makes me smile. Excellent driving 👌
That was some impressive driving, I'm seriously jealous 😅😂

Wow! That´s insane! Previous record for stock NA1 NSX was 8:03.86

You are driving with great precision and very courageous! I would never beat my NSX like that! :D
Awesome lap. Looking forward to see more videos =)

You got a very nice apex dude and perfect corner speed no need for tuning
What a lap! V8 M3/RS4 sort of time. Damn I want one of these!
Fantastic. One of my goals is to get my NSX shipped over to run Spa and the Ring. Hopefully I can make it happen.

What's up one year after ? News about car ?
You give faith for other nsx dreamers 🤙🏽💦
Great driving. Considering wheel and brake upgrades?
sooooooo great job!!!!
no fear at all. i envy you.
Great lap congratulations! Is your NSX stock?
Thanks. I have a set of cheap coilovers and good tyres/brake pads. The rest is stock.

Just some rubbing. Nothing to worry about :P
Amazing.... thanks
awesome lap man, 5:30 speed is a bit inaccurate lol
I´d love to see you driving in a 1200 PS car.
Thanks, that would be cool, right? :D
Heftig!
Cressidaen er kulere!😉
Det har du evig rett i :D
Steike ta du er rå bak rattet! Aldri vært på sløyfa selv, men planlegger en tur til neste år :D
Rått kjørt!! :)
Mopping up
Please try to use Japanese tires next time🌼
ロナウドクリスチアーノ I actually did. Got AD08R now ;)
@@FredrikSoerlie I'm happy to hear that (^-^)

You're a sick driver!
