I was able to visit the fine folks at FA today and I was able to try the Evil Robot. The great tone was obvious after about 10 seconds but I couldn't pull myself away for two hours. Guitar reviews online have become some of the best entertainment and comedy out there. I recommend them to people who are not active musicians. They get it. Advanced students and pro players can always learn a new riff. This type of programing is very instructional. Phil is always pulling out a cool old song too. I would watch that show. The only problem is 1 hour a week is not enough.
@Toady373 Probably not... that distortion was created by plugging the guitar directly into the board, which was tube driven, and maxing out the channel gain.

whenever phil plays whole lotta love, the intro sounds different then the way other people play it. it sounds closer to jimmy page then anyone else i've heard. The first 2 notes of the intro, it seems like he's playing another note along with one of them. a double stop at some point. do you know what that might be?
