Boxed iPhone 5s Still Running IOS 7.0.6 - Never Used??

- I am led to believe this iPhone 5s was never used or used for a very short period of time based on its condition and the fact it as no marks or dirt in the lightning or headphone jack and still is running IOS 7.0.6!
I saved this iPhone from being updated to IOS 10.3.3 via the OTA upgrade as the seller was going to update the iPhone!

ugh iOS 7 is so pretty, I don’t understand why people hate it so much. The unlock animation (pre-7.1 I believe) was so beautiful and smooth
And the system font seems better, I think it's a bit thinner compared to newer iOSes

And I must agree, iOS 7 i super pretty, I had a friend's iPhone 4 on 7.1.2 to play around with, and it was a ton of fun jailbreaking it, customizing it, and overall it was a decent experience still.
dadziokPL Omg I recently did the hack thing where I put iOS 7 on my iPod Touch 4 and it lasts like 2 minutes before kernel panicking. But it’s so surreal to use iOS 7 and see all of the modern / newer design elements on a device that’s been stuck on iOS 6 for years. I really like the UI
Yeah I have a iPhone 5 Silver 32GB (new) iOS 7.0.2 and an iPhone 5s Space Gray 16GB (used, mint condition) on iOS 7.1.1 and I could immediately tell the animations were different.
Until now, I never really used iOS 7 so it was the firmware I knew least about, I did however use it for a few short weeks when I got my old 5s in Dec. 2014, it came with 7.1.2. However, I am now an apple collector and have many different iPhones on different versions that I can compare them side by side, and that is one of the things I noticed. At first I thought “well, the 5s is much faster, of course the animations will be sped up” but once I did research I found out that is simply not the case. I also have a 5c Yellow 32GB on iOS 8.0.2 with the same animation speed.
That’s so hard to find! You’re the luckiest man you’ve gotten an iPhone on a rare iOS version.

@ayefries the tool which saves SHSH2 blobs was invented only in December 2017 (when iOS 10 was the last version). It means that you cannot save SHSH2 blobs from iOS 7. You can save it only if iOS version is signed by Apple. iOS 7.0.6 was never signed again after 2014
@@user-xp9sf2dx6t it was signed in 2018, since apple accedently resigned all the versions of ios for i think 2 hours.
I got one on 7.0.6 last week in good condition, except for the battery.

It looks really smooth running makes me want to leave all my iPhone on the os which it was made for
I replaced my SE which served me well for two years. It is still in very good to like new condition, with no noticeable scuffs, scrapes or scratches that I can see. I keep all my old iPhones as well as all my pre-iPhones that I've owned since my first day with a cell-phone. As far as I know, they all still work but one Motorola that needs a new battery.
Oh I wish I could have one of those haha

You need a 6s and a 5c on the original version but you have to get an iPhone SE.

I have a passcode-locked iPhone 5s on not later than iOS 9. I got it today for 3€ in a pretty awful condition(scratched housing and shattered glass), but it booted fine and seems usable. On the lockscreen it also says “activation required” in Swedish. Any tips how to reset it without updating?

I just bought an iPhone 5s on iOS 8.2 in mint condition for $30 the seller didn’t realise that iOS 8 is rare. I also bought an iPhone 6s and it came with iOS 9.3.4
I got a 5s too. Not a single scratch, dent or anything else on it. It's in perfect condition. The only thing that is bad is the battery. Got an S8 last year so now it sits in my drawer.

umm, you might want to replace the screen on that 5s, there seems to be a backlight bleed mark in the top middle of the screen

When I got my 5s it was on iOS 8 but I updated it because I couldn’t use a lot apps the main thing I miss is sliding instead of pressing the home button I wish there was an option in setting to change it back

So this might be a odd question but I have an iPhone 5s and the screen started show lines so I took it apart and I fixed what was wrong with the screen and then I replaced battery with an old battery since the other one was bad and then I went to go put the phone back together when I realized that I lost the screw that holds down the screen to the phone the pentalobe screw and then I lost both of the screws that hold down the battery plate and I lost all of the screws that hold down the ribbon cables for the screen but the phone still works actually I am typing on this phone right now but I was wondering if you could maybe fix my phone and put some of the screws back in there ... I know I should have just let a professional inside of my phone to fix it but I didn't want to let someone that I don't know inside my phone so I tried to do it myself LOL and you're probably wondering how I lost almost all of the screws to my phone well me being stupid instead of fixing it on the table I fix it on my bed and I'd rather let you fix it then a professional person at a store cuz it kind of be odd walking up to someone in real life and ask them that

That is first version of iOS 7. It had little bit different sliders.

I have an iPhone 5S with iOS 7.0.4 in a used condition and sadly with a jailbreak. What do you think it‘s worth? I bought it for about 20€.
Yes this comment is being sent a year later, but if you want to return the device to stock iOS (without updating of course), the solution would be to go into Cydia (the package manager), install Cydia Eraser, and use that to remove the jailbreak. Then proceed to erase all content and settings if you so desire.
I had it in 2020 and updated it to iOS 12 from 7 by accident😭😭😭

Kevin Bhasi Yes, they do that since my iPad (iPad mini 2 to be exact) is staying on iOS 10.3.3, Apple keeps downloading and asking me to install when I didn't even want to.
