- If you have questions about mealworms, small business insect farms, etc, send me an email: justin@midwestmealworms.com
Questions that are tackled here:
1. Substrate during shipping?
2. How do you clean the mealworm exoskeletons out of the trays?
3. Do you immediately start spraying water on the baby trays after separating the beetles?
4. What size sieves do you use?
Sizes I use: 1/8, 1/12, 1/30
Here is the set I purchased: amzn.to/3gmgkvY (affiliate link, thank you for your support). It has a couple sizes I ended up not using.
5. How many kgs of beetles and their offspring can 1 person handle?
6. You've mentioned in the past that you swap beetles 8 times (once a week for 8 weeks), how many days does it take to get a mealworm that is ready to harvest?

WHERE R U FROM SIR DOING GREAT JOB
Do you let your beetles die naturally or do you “dispose” of them after a certain period of time?
We cull them after 2 months of laying.
What do you do with the exoskeleton?
Nothing yet, but I bet there's a way to use them.
I read somewhere that they are also good for the garden.
@@meghanpost9580 very likely, they contain chitin which triggers the plants natural response to insects.
