So hard to find videos of the 1.8 with manual gear box... most of them use the boring, uninvolving and unexciting DSG. Long life to MT! PS. I'd rather have the TSI version.
+trance former I'm going to buy one this year, but I am still hesitating between DSG and MT (I'm not a racer at all, but as you said MT is more involving, and it's a lot cheaper.. and according to sprint monitor, fuel consumption is the same or even lower than DSG)
But with the 184 hp 2.0 tdi, the dsg6 is a better choice. I got the 6. speed manual on my 2.0 tdi 184 with remap (236hp&502nm). But iam traiding it for the facelifted Leon fr with igual engine, but dsg6.
Thanks, the handling is really good with the DCC suspension and 18 inch wheels. As for fuel economy, if you are driving within legal limits and with moderated acceleration then you can go easily go under 5 liters per 100 km.
+Acceleration TV Absolutely no problem with reliability. As for city driving, its miles ahead of the old 2.0 TDI in my previous Leon from 2006. It all depends on how you are driving, but the important aspect is that it can be really economic if you want it to be and also punchy and fast when you are in the mood for spirited driving ;)
Nice car and nice driving. I like the way this engine revs.
+Bartosz Kwiatkowski thanks !
Super ich freue mich auf meinen Leon 1.8TSI

Great drive!!
The Leon goes very well. I got the same model with man. gear and ECU remap. 236 hp & 502, clouch is very strong.
Morten Rasmussen huge numbers! any details on the remap (which tuner) ?
GMR VideoStream Danish tuner. Chiptuning.nu v. Thomas landberg. Master in diesel.

The 1.8 TSI should have similar performance, but the higher rpms would definitely help on this circuit.
