Munroe Island's crown jewel is the serene Ashtamudi Lake, a place of pure tranquility. And don't forget the iconic arch bridge, often referred to as the "Gateway to Serenity," which gracefully spans the serene waters of Ashtamudi Lake.
Our adventure reached its pinnacle with a breathtaking sunset over Munroe Island. As the sun gently dipped below the horizon, the entire landscape transformed, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. Saw your complete Varkala trip and enjoyed it. Planning to visit Varkala and Munroe island. Can you help me know how to reach Munroe island from Varkala? I saw you guys were roaming in Varkala on a scooty. Did you guys reach Munroe on that as well? Its 48kms and how much time does it take? Are the roads good enough for traveling back after sunset?
Hey! Thank you for watching. Glad you liked it too. Yes, we went to Monroe on a scooter. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach. Roads are decent but I would suggest try reaching back to Varkala by max 8.

Hey, allepey and munroe are two different places with different feels. Munroe is a very small secluded n quaint village. Yeah, it’s hot in the afternoon. I think they take the cruise in the morning or in the evening. I started at 4 pm n finished it by 7.

Hi, I paid 1200 for the boat for 3 hours for 2 people in off season. They might charge a little more in the season time. They might also charge per person vise.

Hi Geetika, I had booked this property called watergate tourist home m resort n the resort owner only booked this boat guy for me. The owner of the property is really nice n warm. I visited munroe from Varkala by scooter. You can go by auto, cab or by bus too. 😀😃

How can we reach there from kannur
Hi kannur is at the north end of Kerala. It’s very far from munroe island. I think train is the best option. You can take train till Kollam n take a bus from Kollam railway station to munroe island.
