- Today is the day, we are finally planting our Cheyenne II Bermuda grass seeds. We are going to go with the broadcast method using a cone seeder. We initially start with one plan in mind but oh how things will change. Always read the label before making the plan. We always make it work though. Also, we will be tuning our baling equipment in as we get prepared to go full force on the hay season.

Just bopping around You Tube, when your video popped on on the best way to plant Bermuda Grass ,So i figured that being as we grow quite a bit of Bermuda Grass for Hay... I only know one Way, That Is Sprigging ( incorporating growing plants into the soil..... Mainly because as our Variety Tifton 44 is a Hybrid and the seed are Sterile....... That is the only way to establish it!
Yes we are familiar with sprigging Bermuda, the field we are planting was in the old Vaughn Bermuda that was sprigged years ago. This seeded Bermuda we are using is called Haymaker made by Hancock seed.
