I think that a nice episode without a fight could be inserted. A "museum episode" in which the participating species present their respective history of flight. Should be "enlightening" for the other participants. Of course, the machines that have not yet been used are not shown, only those that have already been used and corresponding contemporary ones that are not to be used. It shows that people also had their airship phase. (Which air-faring aliens would certainly find enlightening)
Including a few forays into extreme sports such as air rally, skydiving with and without wingsuit and paragliding (description of films shown)

The F6F is a single engine plane, and all these are dual engine. You are close though as it was the F7F Tigercat. Used here as the climb rate exceeded all other prop driven aircraft of the time. The quad 50's in the nose didn't hurt either.
