I love seeing heavies go at it like this. That Ridley player was pretty good but got a little greedy at the end there. Side B back to stage is a gimme for the opponent that see it coming.

I say this unironically as a Ridley main, his side B is honestly kind of a bad move. It's got a hefty 22 frame startup and nearly 44 frames of endlag and the reward is, frankly underwhelming. Killing middleweights at ledge around 130 to 140%. Compare it to any other big body's command grab and its definitely the worst.
Ganondorf is faster and safer and sets up a more rewarding situation that leads to kills or massive damage.
Incineroar's is faster and safer, and just kills way better.
Bowser's is the only one with more endlag, but with a six frame startup its WAY more scary and can still kill more reliably.
And unlike Ridley, these command grabs are unescapable. (You 'can' escape ganon's but its basically impossible)
Ridley's side b is saved by the fact he can use it to help recover, where its safer. It's honestly just best reserved as a 'yolo'/'I hope you don't see this coming' move.

@@zanyskeleton5291 it’s only reserved for a hard read of holding shield, also if you whiff it at ledge, it’s usually a free punish.

0:52 that ridley should've done a down angled ftilt, it would've caught you and lead to an uncomfortable edgeguard situation and likely your stock.
