I must say that as I've aged and gained a greater appreciation of chip music, I've come to greatly appreciate Atari ST music. As an Amiga owner back in the day I used to shit all over the ST's measly audio capabilities, but truth is that the ST's music has aged like a fine wine alongside that of the 128K Spectrum tunes and C64's SID music, whereas the low-fidelity samples used in many Amiga tunes have aged much less gracefully, especially many of those of the late 80s.

god these take me back. Atari games some of the catchy tunes ever. Even now, 25 yrs later, I still find myself humming some of the tunes. ECO tune is one that will stay with me till I die! just briliant

This is the beginning, of everything really. The epicenter of the sound of the future.
    Bass.

I never had an ST, but looking back, it looks like a fantastic computer! After the Spectrum, I opted to go with the "superior" Amiga instead of the ST. But to be honest, the Amiga had a lot of low quality sampled music and sludgey colours, while the ST had the beautiful AY chip, and purer colours. Sometimes less is more!

Eliminator!!! I was listening to this amazing music collection in the background and as soon as this tune came up I immediately checked the browser - for a moment I thought it was International Karate Plus ;P [Edit 1] OK, because I don't want to flood the stream I'll keep on updating this post about spotting songs - another one my ears detected was Flying Shark - I didn't even remember its name but my brain could remember the endless hours of its music playing while trying to defeat it!!! Thank you ;P [Edit 2] And there's the IK+! Of-course, it simply cannot be missing from such a collection :D

Bad Cat music is awesome. It reminds me Sarah's Song composed by Andreas Molnar (Tyrian 2000 co-composer, main composer was Alexander Brandon) on OPL2 and OPL3 sound chip in Tyrian 2000 for IBM PC DOS.

It's interesting how every Bubble Dizzy port seems to have different music... like, an entirely different melody.

I used Jam Player for the YM Exports, didn't want to use low pass, I wanted the music as crisp as i could get them :)

This is great but I much prefer turning off the low-pass filter when I listen. What did you use as a player?

Sorry, your recording is not at all faithful to the original ! your emulator seems to run too fast, as most of the musics here are distorted ! As a result, most of the melodies sounds like garbage ! Just try another emulator !
