- Here’s a great Scottish jig I learned from Silly Wizard. It brings up an interesting discussion about the influence of the accordion on Scottish fiddling. For a deeper dive and some tips on how to play the tune, visit my Patreon page, Brandon Vance Music.

It's worth noting that, while I learned this tune from the playing of Silly Wizard, the original tune was composed by Norman MacLean, a bagpiper from Uist in the Outer Hebrides.
I play this in my local session in the English Lake District. One of our regulars was a founder member of Silly Wizard!
That's so cool! Johnny and Phil Cunningham were so great together. We definitely lost Johnny too soon. Do you mind me asking which member of Silly Wizard comes to your local? Cheers! -BV
@@brandonvancemusic It's Gordon Jones, who was a founder member. He's a stalwart of the trad music scene in the South Lakes. He set it up with Bob Thomas, who was going out with my cousin at the time. As a kid I hung out at a couple of their early rehearsals!
