What an understated guy. So cool that UTMB can be won by an amateur with a full time job and other interests.

Reminds me of Jasmin Paris- the heroic story speaks for itself yet the modesty, work ethic and family values makes us mere mortals instant fans. Epic really

One of the best things about our sport is the quality of the people who are our champions. Kilian, Francois, Jim, Courtney, Katie etc and now Vincent. Humble, respectful, well mannered role models. This does not happen in any other sport. A credit to this man for keeping that legacy going.

I wouldn't characterize Jim Walmsley as "humble". He may be a nice guy, but he likes to brag and talk of himself as the best...

@@konstruktivismuskonstru9360 We'll have agree to disagree here sir, as I couldn't disagree more. Jim has always shown great respect for his fellow runners and the greats of the sport before him. In victory and defeat he is the same, as evidenced by cheering Vincent, in person, on the last climb.

I don’t wish to be rude, but just want to offer feedback that this interviewer seems like she’s rushing Vincent and trying to get the interview over with. The constant “okay” and other interrupting words take away from the conversation.

Congratulations! For the interviewer: It would be great to be quiet while someone is talking, interviewing is different than a conversation and even for a conversation you said "OK" etc very often. For 99% only say sth if you want to say sth or in order to keep a answer short or sometimes if someone needs a little bit of encouragement 🤙✌️

Yeah, this felt really rushed as if the presenter had to go somewhere else. I think the UTMB winner deserved more than 12 minutes interview, especially since he seems to be very eloquent in English and quite eager to talk.

Hi Rob and all, as you can imagine, the winner of UTMB had a lot of responsibilities the day after the race, and we did our very best to maximize the limited time Vincent was available. I hope you can understand there are a lot of behind-the-scenes details that go into making these interviews happen, many of which we don't have control over. (If you can imagine the iRunFar team jogging across town several times on Sunday with bags of camera gear to find and meet six different runners who all had loads of post-race things to do themselves, then that's just a peek into how these post-race interviews happen.) The interviews won't always be perfect, but they will always be our very best given the circumstances. We thank you for your support. -Meghan
