Sammi just a note on sustainability :) you seem like a real coffee lover, maybe look into bringing a keep cup out with you for your coffee and reusable bags when you go shopping

On the topic of being sustainable, one easy change you could do is bring your own cup to coffee shops. Most will offer a discount as well! I have a few spillproof insulated mugs that are amazing.

@@veggiesaurus5834 I have one from T2 tea (the black travel cup for £12). Some that they sell are a little bit expensive but they're very nice quality and lots of places offer discounts when I bring mine in. Also, if you buy one and have a T2 tea store near you, you can get free tea (any that they have in store) on a Friday. It's a win, win! (Last thing: I highly suggest you hand wash the one I recommended, greatly increases the life of the cup!) Hope that helps!! x

Love that you're getting more into sustainability, educating yourself is for sure the right approach! Don't let anyone pressure you and do it at your own pace, because this is a very complex and broad topic with so many different aspects :) When looking up sustainable brands be aware of so called "green washing", a marketing strategy fooling consumers into believing sustainable claims made by some brands. Labels and certifications can be helpful but also misleading, but research can definitely give more clarity to that issue. Wishing you loads of fun and motivation on this journey!

You're so kind, Samantha, and it is very lovely to watch you and absorb that energy. It really seems that you just want to feel happy and be good to those around you. I appreciate so much when you talk about mental health, and I think many people do. I've had horrid anxiety before, and it can be so difficult, but then when you push through, it is incredibly empowering and you realize that you have strength that you never knew was inside of you. This always helps me when I have times that I struggle. And you can struggle even when everything around you seems wonderful! But really, I just wanted to comment on your ease within the vlogs, and seeing a natural life is very lovely and refreshing! Hope you're well and feeling better :)
Try magnesium for depression and anxiety! It helps SO much!

I always come back to your channel to see your fashion tips. I never know what seasonal trends to try and it gives me some inspo. I love seeing Indie and hearing what you have been up to! I understand why some people feel that is contradictory to talk about sustainability but feel like lots of people want to come on this sustainability journey with you. I want to do more, and hearing about the brands was really helpful! Id love more videos about it and even a hall!!! My main thought is that you vote with your money so the more we move our money into those brands the better and the big companies will follow!! xx

I don’t know if anyone else has commented this but H&M is very sustainable- their conscious range is all re-cycled organic cotton, all kidswear is organic cottton, they give you a voucher if you recycle your clothes with them, they do some small bits of conscious beauty and hair. There’s a lot to say but look into H&Ms sustainability.
jordan linthwaite that’s what they say but only use a 1% of those donations. The other 99% goes to trash. That’s the sad reality.
It’s not trash items get filtered through to go to the Red Cross and unusable items turn into insulation , the ‘trash’ is then sent to Sweden where it is burned, where somehow that is turned into energy as Sweden is entirely renewable on their energy. I’m getting defensive as I worked on this movement and have studied it for a very long time..

jordan linthwaite talking about Europe maybe that’s true, but in the USA and Latin America is not the case, all of the items they are not using goes to trash lands. I’m talking from the context of the countries I know and live so that’s what I know. And maybe is a problem from here but it affects all the world. I think the best to contribute is to stop shopping those brands because they aren’t paying enough and had lots of other issues.

I’ve noticed this too! I hate seeing you in such a struggle :/ a while ago other women linked it to a possible problem with your implants and I’m practically begging you to check into that possibility. I have no moral judgement against implants in the slightest, but they may be hurting your health. If you find yourself chronically ill, even if it seems like a regular cold, please look into the possibility that the implants are leaking and your body is suffering from toxic exposure. It wouldn’t be the outcome you want, but it might make an enormous difference for how you feel. I hope it is just a cold though. Rest up! :)

Increase Caribbean flavours and ingredients in your diet. They are healing. Pepper soup and yam green banana and dumpling with plantain, rice and peas. Hearty food and vitamins will sort you out, honestly.

Samantha there are some amazing cooks on UA-cam . Amazzzzing.. sometimes I put the iPad on in the kitchen and follow the recipes step by step so much variety. Vegan, vegetarian, meat options .. remove ingredients like coriander if you don’t like them.

I love how down to earth you are and how you just do you without having to be fake.
The whole point of sustainable fashion is to buy LESS. Yes, the clothes are more expensive but you only need to buy 1 sweater instead of 10 so at the end it's probably cheaper.... But only if you buy less. Buying the same amount you do currently but only sustainable fashion will cost obviously more.

Hey Sam! In regards to sustainable clothing, I would say that overall being a more conscious consumer is a great first step. Understanding whether or not you really need a piece of clothing, buying second-hand when you can, and avoiding purchasing as much from unethical or unsustainable brands. I also love reformation but it does get quite costly. I wouldn't be so hard on yourself, as it is, I'm so so happy that you're taking these steps to living a more sustainable lifestyle. Just being aware of your clothing purchasing habits is a great first step.
About the video you want to do on sustainability, what is your reason or intentions behind it as blogger/youtuber who does A LOT of clothing content? I am just curious as i had watched Stacey Dooley's documentary when it came out.

I was sad when I heared Arket belonged to H&M just like Cos, and it's basically not sustainable but rather green washed & more expensive H&M :( it's so hard to shop sustainable you reeeeally have to do your research. I mostly buy second hand now because it's easier (also you can get such great pieces for so cheap)

I've been following you on your journey since the beginning and I love that even though you are successful and have progressed so much you are still down-to-earth and relateable. It is also nice to see that you still have a good mix of highstreet and luxury. So many creators recently are so focused in reaching perfection and only showing luxury goods that, as a follower, it becomes exhausting, unrelateable and unhelpful. Thank you for staying true to you and us, whilst developing your content, without sacrificing your values and relate-ability.
