Mystic Cave and Camelot Castle is the best in my opinion. It's funny that the game is almost 12 years old and it looks and plays like a today's release. This game was simply ahead of its time.

That Grand Metropolis was a beautiful stage. Zero 2D camera angles/segments Just Pure 3D Sonic. The way i love it and looks as pretty as the game it comes from
Sonic Generations 2 should include the Zones that weren't in the first game. Like Starlight Zone for the first level, and Metropolis Zone for the second.
I love the concept of act 1 of a sonic 06 stage being the main portion of level and act 2 being the mach speed section, in practice i feel like it’d lead to act 2 being way too short but it’s a really cool idea and fits the separate gameplay styles well

I think a canon sonic generations 2 could work. Make the story so that the eggmans in the void find the chaos emeralds or something,teleport to some sonic anniversary and kidnap everyone again. As for new games to pull from, if there isn't enough somehow they could also pull spin-off titles like the rush series, since everything is cancelled, though I wouldn't like new levels for world's that were already revisited just for the sake of a less dry experience when playing them back-to-back
I would be SO ANGRY if we got Green Hill TWICE, Emerald Coast, Splash Hill and Wave Ocean. We already had two beach levels in the first generations, and if they reused Green Hill 3 times in Gens 2 I think someone would have to be put down.
The video was cool, but the owner of this channel made a big mistake by putting the name Sonic 3 in the Sky Sanctuary part, and this phase is from Sonic & Knuckles, just to correct it.
I know that Sky Sanctuary is from Sonic & Knuckles but it doesn’t really matter because Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles are part of the same game so whether people want to address it as Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3, or Sonic 3 & Knuckles it really doesn’t matter. Plus, I couldn’t really find a high quality version of the Sonic & Knuckles logo.

Graphical Mods really help with that too, like Sonic Unleashed’s Depth of Field, someone modded that into Generations.
Unleashed looks even better. Though Generations plays much smoother with controls

The best stage in this mod was definitely the water palace stage from sonic rush it's looks so good so good that it looks like official dlc.
