Omg I loveeeee your book! I love that symbol on the first page! Oddly satisfying when you turn the pages through! I’m weird I just love that sound! 😂😂

My mom used to say “ we don’t own the land, we are borrowing it for our future children”. “Be a steward of the land”.

Love it. I am entranced by the symbol on the first page. And I don't think having printed pages takes away from the book. Mine is all handwritten, so I understand how tedious and exhausting it can be to have to write a plethora of words when you want the information in it now.
My book is a journal I found in the local grocery store. It's not finished, but I think it suits me. I have a video of it on my channel somewhere if you want to see it.

I love the idea of a post bound book. I've been using journals and I've got pages ripped out and brought over from other books that fall out all the time, loose bits I plan to glue it. Yours is lovely 💜✨

I love a good grimoire tour! I haven't shared anything of mine since my very first video, which was just my first, rather haphazard, grimoire, but it did serve me well. I love how yours is coming along, and I think my favorite part of yours is the map of where you live, that seems like it would be a really special and useful piece.

I don't think that having printed materials in your grimoire takes away from it at all. All that matters is it works for you! That's what makes it so magical!

I think it's coming along beautifully. As for whether or not having the the printed pages in with the handwritten ones... I think most of us love the idea of the aesthetic and intention of a 100% handwritten Grimoire. But functionality can play just as big of a role as the labor of writing it all out. If that's all information that you are going to use, I say get it in the best way that you can.
Personally, I plan on using my Cricut to write out a lot of the pages that I will be using to assemble mine, because I know if I don't get it just perfect, it's going to distract me while I am using it. It "feels" like a bit of a cheat to me, but I know I will be happier with the final product, not likely to enjoy using it, and less likely to get distracted by tiny details, when I should be focused on the information contained there.
So far it looks EXACTLY like Teia's Grimoire to me. 😊

I've been looking through UA-cam for BoS/Grimore recommendations because I'm planning on finally making two BoS, currently I want to make one for deity work (since most of my practice is honoring and working with deities) and another for miscellaneous information (which will likely be divided up later). I usually keep information digitally but I've been updating, deleting and moving so much information that I really need a more concrete place to keep it (except my poems; keeping those are just a matter of how proud I am of them). I'm planning on doing a plain binder with scrapbook materials and thin washi tape because I like things organized and I like practicality, but I also want pretty pages (not cluttered, but it will have a design and I'm aiming for a "faded" style). I like the way you have yours laid out; it's not overly fancy and very practical to you. Especially the land acknowledgement. As an American who is inspired by British folk magic and mysticism, I feel many people forget the history of their land in favor for their preferred agenda. Even within nearly all countries, no two places are the same!
Honestly I think I would rather print out information; it's easier to replace than a whole inked writing, it can be faster to stylize, and you can make a lot of really nice layouts that way. I'm planning on printing out my rituals, poems, and short-form essays while I'll hand-write everything else. I'm also an artist so I am going to take advantage of my drawing abilities to make the pictures unique. I already drew some of my deities on those little artist trading cards, they'll feel more personal that way. One idea I had is that I'd make envelopes or pockets to put on the deity pages to keep track of my current workings and certain offerings to them.
Planning is so fun, starting to make them though can be daunting! My brother did give me a nice faux leather diary for Christmas a few years ago but I never wrote in it because I didn't want to regret anything I did in the book and make it too thick covering up mistake after mistake using paper. Hence why I'm planning on using binders and dividing up information and taking so much time planning it. I like being able to move stuff around and I am very big on organization.

The best BOS iv'e seen are the ones with loose folded paper held in with a string, all of which can be home-made. Shuffling? yes it will, no fear of making a mess, the worst you can loose is 4 pages and in 10 or 20 years time you will have a beautiful stack suitable for binding into a solid book if you so desire.

Can you type the name of the horoscope book so I can find it? And my working bos is very much a combo of typed and hand written. Nothing wrong if it works right?

Very cool! I also use a post-bound book, but because I use a lot of watercolor paper, I had to get creative so the pages would lay flat. I make tabs of leather that are sewn on to the pages, and have holes to slide on to the posts.
