That drill has a lot more torque than the motor did, but it runs a lot slower. If you could fit it, it would be cool to put a bigger prop on and see how much force you could pull (weight cell tied to a tree)
A power plant trick. A pipe threader puts out an insane amount of torque a low rpm. They sell a 1" square drive die. It would for sure turn that tractor motor.
This was pretty awesome. It'll get you around the lake for fishing no problem as long as you use the small battery first and the big one to get home. Once the fishing trip is over you still have your drill for work. Seems like a win on multiple levels to me.
I remember The very first whole hog I ever used was the original and I wrap myself up in it at the age of 16 years old and I will never forget that because it absolutely annihilated me threw me across the room 😂 and made me absolutely terrified of them but they have improved over the last couple of years and they’re safer than they have ever been
You should try a adapt a grinder up to the boat motor next to get that prop spinning some serious rpms. I bet a 4 1/2" would work but if not Milwaukee does make a 7"-9" 18v version. Probably would be faster then it ever would be with the orginal gas engine.
The drill is geared down, but the angle grinder is geared up, so more suitable rpm out of the box. No need for the reduction gear box used as an overdrive
I watched one where a woman took the head from a dead angle grinder and just hooked up a drill to it with a little modifications. But the thing is, she had just a shitty off brand drill and it went just as good as his did. So maybe the gearing in the angle grinder head helped.
Anytime I feel like my shop is a giant mess, I can pull up videos like this one to feel better. I'm not saying my shop looks any cleaner - just that I'm not alone. :)
My dad always kept his shop pristine and would yell if I left ih any other way. Now when he comes to my Shop I go out of my way to messy it up just to rile him up 😂😂
Lol. Loved the joke. I fell for it. Was thinking, boy he has something there. In all reality, I imagine they would do really well with a electric motor.
I can really appreciate the big projects you do, but these projects are pretty dang cool too, I'd like to see you run a power-generator off of an electric motor, if it can be done, you'd probably be the one who could find a way, BTW, that ending was funny-n-clever,👍 thanks for sharing.
Heck I turned a Cordless Angle grinder into a Lawn mower....... Just put new blades and bolts on my $35 2 stroke mower and got sick of pull starting the thing sooooo Popped the plug out and gaff taped my 4 inch grinder body with a socket attached, added a zip tie trigger and Voila! Toe cutter :-)
So use the impeller that is on any motor over 5.5 hp and have it pump water up through copper or stainless tubing you wrap around the motor in a coil to cool the electric motor and you can run all day.
rich! brother! greetings from rural New Zealand :) 😀 you need to try start that again, pull a spark plug or 2 out & start it n put them back in once it's popping on 2 or 3 cylinders
if that drill spins a 1500 rpm then you could do some rearing ( or with a belt and pulleys ) to bring up the out put rpm. the torque the the drill has would probably be enough... I'd love to see if it's possible
An Angle Grinder might be more suited for this application.. or a pair of oars.. o.O Maybe a bigger propulsion assembly off a larger outboard.. Maybe the electric motor out of a Ryobi 40v lawn mower...
Someone should really invent a battery-powered motor for a boat. Maybe have it swivel so you could use fishing lures at the same time? I'm surprised no one's invented that yet.
Hey Milwaukee, how about an M18 FUEL Outboard Motor for the next Pipeline Tool Symposium?
im not there yet but did ya cut the lower unit shaft and weld the right sized socket for the reduction shaft?
yup
Motorized bicycle/motorcycle for sure!!!!!!
@@fastinradfordable 100%
This gives me a strong AvE feel if he hadn't went full retard.
What an unusual challenge you set yourself Ritch. It was very funny and entertaining to watch... WELL DONE!!! 10/10
That drill has a lot more torque than the motor did, but it runs a lot slower. If you could fit it, it would be cool to put a bigger prop on and see how much force you could pull (weight cell tied to a tree)
What was so funny was that you left in the leaf blower sound and could actually see the nozzle. Loved the episode.
A power plant trick. A pipe threader puts out an insane amount of torque a low rpm. They sell a 1" square drive die. It would for sure turn that tractor motor.
be to slow to start it. it would turn it for sure.
No
Turning that shaft into a 3/8 drive WAS genius
Why ?
It made it very easy to disassemble seeing as it wasn't meant to be permanently attached
@@spawn9881 your bar for 'genius' is exceptionally low.
@@witness1013 while you're not wrong there, your attitude has a real I'm better than you quality to it that I don't quite appreciate

This looks like a job for an angle grinder!
Nha angle grinder isn’t geared.
@@mikeznel6048 yeah they are. ring and pinion. probably around a 4-5 reduction in any grinder.
7" angle grinder, who needs torque when you got like 8,000 rpm.
@@PhillTheVwGuru dewalts 60v grinder is 9,000rpm
Flexvolt DeWalt would be fun!
The leaf blower was hilarious. Great episode. I did laugh out loud.
Nice catch on the "F" bomb @ 15:08, lol.

The leaf blower bit was classic and fully had me. I was surprised and a bit confused at the speed at first 😆.

You can only spin a propeller so fast before it starts cavitating.
The drill is geared down, but the angle grinder is geared up, so more suitable rpm out of the box. No need for the reduction gear box used as an overdrive

Anything from Ferraris to chainsaws Get out there , work on it , drive it , put a smile on your face. Best channel on utube
Awesome, at least you have a light on the drill to hook the keys on the bottom of the lake.
Play safe from Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

To DEBOSS GARAGE. I would like to see a part 2, using a starter motor.
Lol. Loved the joke. I fell for it. Was thinking, boy he has something there.
In all reality, I imagine they would do really well with a electric motor.
Your long game is impressive, building that footage up for years!
"My dEwAlT cAn Do ThAt"
Good thing it wasn't your Vice Grip hat! 😁
I got that and the M18 12.0HD big boys. Now I'm looking at my boat with the broken motor think back to fishing lol😂❤
Drilling holes is tough. Fishing is easier.
So this is what you’ve been doing instead of working on the f-350
Red green would be proud . Looks like your at possum lake with the lads. Once again nice work Rich.
This is awesome! Haha. I also love how theres a truck half in the garage with the hood open but your on a side mission to make an outboard
Pretty sure those ducks thought you were one of them.😂
Man I love your sponsored relationship with milwaukee absolutely amazing😂
LMFAO - you did have me going for a while - it took all of 20:28 mins to see you were fooling about!
Excellent! I had a good laugh!
You know there's a whole lake of nice, refreshing water there to keep your drill cool next year.
I am totally gunna rig this up fer my kayak.....it's gunna friggin fly. Thanks yall.
This is awesome 😂 👍👍
I used a 12 amp milwaukee on a 12 volt trolling motor....works like a champ all day on one battery, In a 10' sundolphin
You may have just created the single greatest trolling motor concept of the past 100 years.

That would be way less efficient than just using a battery to charge things. You would lose energy to friction, heat as well as sound and vibration.
I don't understand the point? If you already have power for the electric motor why spin up a generator?
That was a fun video guys thanks - very entertaining
I use a Milwaukee mud mixer as my auger for ice fishing. I wonder if that would do the trick.
The best video I wasn't expecting
Lol the leaf blower really had me good one
Awesome video, thanks for goofing around
REAL MEN OF GENIUS
Here's to you Mr. Super Hawg boat motor guy!
Pretty clever idea Rich!! What will you think of next?
Heck I turned a Cordless Angle grinder into a Lawn mower....... Just put new blades and bolts on my $35 2 stroke mower and got sick of pull starting the thing sooooo Popped the plug out and gaff taped my 4 inch grinder body with a socket attached, added a zip tie trigger and Voila!

That bit of cinema with the leaf blower was epic
This was a riot ! Loved it.
Milwaukee, Minn Kota is watching....LOL. Excellent video as always Rich. Thanks
LOL…had me convinced with that blower 😂😂🤣
Next year-Angle grinder! 🤣
I love that you find the time to do silly projects like this.
Red would be PROUD! Keep your stick on the ice 😁 🇨🇦🇺🇸
How hilarious is it I was looking up videos for drill powered things yesterday and I look again today expecting nothing new but whaddaya know
a true canadian. that is some Red Green level engineering if they dont find ya handsome theyll atleast find ya handy
Higher pitch propeller and a twin installation on the transom for 2023 season!
That was cool..the leaf blower thing 🤣

Epic fooling there, yes you really had me going! :p
this is got me thinking damn you now i need a boat
You can change gear ratios with different sockets now!
rich! brother! greetings from rural New Zealand :) 😀 you need to try start that again, pull a spark plug or 2 out & start it n put them back in once it's popping on 2 or 3 cylinders
You ought to pull off the dump bucket off the blue vehicle,, paint it yellow and name it your Minnion Mobile. kids will love it
Thank God you went on vacation enjoy.
Nice job, very entertaining. Did you ever catch any fish? Looks like a very nice area, even better with all of the friends and family.
“I CUT THIS BOAT MOTOR IN HALF TO SHOW YOU THE AMAZING POWER OF FLEX SE…….” Milwaukee power tools?
Outstanding video. I loved it

and for your next comparison video, drilling holes in stuff, with a boat motor.
What a crack up the last bit haha
Would be cool to cut of a Roof of an big Van and turn it upside Down for D. I. Y. Bootshell 😄
Like they did it on "Junkyard Wars" in the early 2000s
Milwaukee we need to get across a lake now and then to work on lake houses you should make an m18 dual battery or mx boat outboard.
Hey! In the off season, you've got a ginormous paint mixer
That’s true ingenuity there
YEEEESSS IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THIS
I thoroughly enjoyed your video! I like the serious ones too, but this was a fun diversion. Regarding the dozer, could you try a race car starter?
I was hella confused when i saw the snow at the beginning of the video hahahahaha
I really enjoyed you boat show
Moosehead is nice beer cheers!
Should have put the 1" impact on it and tried it as well. Get some more rpm out of it.
I think i speak for many when i say... LETS SEE THE F350 😂😂😂 we're all dying to see the next video!!
I've always thought that trolling motors are supposed to be silent/quiet?
You'll scare all the fish away with that thing!
Fun times.
how many minute is working? does it go for example small boat with one person 5 km?
Can you drill holes in 2x4s with a Johnson outboard motor?
Grind Hard did one of the first electric hand drill powered mini-jet boats.. now you have one of the first Milwaukee powered trawlers!
An Angle Grinder might be more suited for this application.. or a pair of oars.. o.O
Maybe a bigger propulsion assembly off a larger outboard.. Maybe the electric motor out of a Ryobi 40v lawn mower...
THIS KINDA REMINDS ME OF FLEXSEAL BOTTOMLESS BOAT WITH A ELECTRIC DRILL WOW🤣
That leaf blower trick was funny. I thought it seemed off no way it was moving that fast that quick without the bow in the air. Then it was reveiled
Rich you better get a life jacket, and a helmet. before you end up in jail like whistlin diesel 😆
Awesome idea thanks
lekker fun vid, tnx for the grin factor
What an engineering genius. Neat stuff 😎 👍
I had the idea last night to make a electric motor powered bar stool go kart. This would be a cool motor lol 😆
Should be fine for the annual two weeks of canadian boating weather you get up there :)
I bet your hat would fly off for real with the 7/16 Milwaukee 2865-20 linemans impact drill
Can I have that to show up to parties for drink mixing my Canadian Club whiskey in Windsor?
if you put a prop directly on the tool it be way faster, you should try building a mud motor with it
Next year: two reducers, duct the propeller, and add port and starboard leafblowers for steering / afterburner.
Sweet tap handle! I have one just like it somewhere around here.
Best regards from Indiana.
I think mine is squeezing the rear brake hose on my pickup
Next year's challenge. Get it fast enough to pull a skier.
Vary awesome indeed. Keep up the great work. Okay.

I use a trolling motor on my canoe all the time. Gets me up to a decent enough speed with none of the noise of a gas engine.
Double up the reducer that would be awesome!.
Now that is cool!!
