😂 For real. But I'll be honest: I left cheapo pedals off the list because, historically, my non-musician loved ones run in horror from that recommendation.
@@JordanSeal Cos they worried they'll get you something you don't want, like - I dunno - the Digital Multi-FX FX600? Or because they have admirable moral values relating to intellectual property rights?
These are all phenomenal recommendations! Here are some other ideas I thought up of: For guitarists, having an extra capo or guitar picks around is never a bad thing. For synth players (especially if they have a Korg Minilogue) you can buy them different colored knobs so they can customize their synth and really make it pop! I’m pretty certain all of Stylophone’s instruments are under $100 and if they’re a producer who likes to put a lot of electronic elements in their music, those aren’t a bad idea. If they’re just starting to get serious about their studio, a Surge Protector is always a good idea and many of them are under $100. These are great for protecting the more delicate electronic devices in the studio. A waterproof Piezo Contact Microphone is always a cool idea for folks who like to explore sound design and just recording instruments in unique ways If it’s on sale, you can get certain 1TB SSD external drives for under $100. One of the best ones for producers is the Samsung t7!
Some pro headphones are around 100 bucks like Sony MDR-7506s, less when they’re on sale. I see em in studios, both home studios and pro studios. For a guitarist cables could be good. Might be able to find a decent wireless system around 100 as well. Would have to dig into that more. Some guitar pedals could be good options too.
Great call on the headphones... I actually use that particular set :) And you're right: there's a lot of great options in these ranges for a guitarist. I tried not to be too guitar-oriented in this video... but it was hard.
Good Show.
ideas 1 thru 20 - all the analogue $30 Behringer pedals that are literal clones of the Boss equivalents 😆
