Definitely a let on the last point 13;30. Ball was way behind him and farag was somewhat cleared but not in his swing. Khalifa was facing almost backwards when he tried to play that he was stroke hunting the whole game lol
Crazy to think that now Ali is now world number 1 and Khalifa is an investment banker. Wonder how far Khalifa could have gone in the squash world. He was already top 50 when he was only 19. I guess everyone has a different path. Ali talks about how playing pro squash after university helped him get around being drafted into the Egyptian military, and if he wasn't drafted, he wouldn't have turned pro. Khalifa could have gone far!
I think a lot of it is down to the different body types. Farag looks like he could better the handle the pyhsicality of pro squash while Khalifa might have been more skilled while in college.
+Darek Dyrtkowski Yes, Farag's ball popped out from the side wall and Khalifa was ready to play the ball while Farag was still in the way. Clear stroke. Bad luck but still a clear stroke.
+Greg Born The ball was past him. He could have got it back ( if Farag wasn't in the way ) but not to hit a winner. It was a let (because that was the correct call; because thats what I would have called; because of the game state at the time and because Khalifa had persistently questioned Farag's pick ups despite him always calling his own down when they were. Still a terrific game.
I think it was a let when Khalifa made the move to hit the ball the ball was behind him, he could never have volleyed that ball and make the winner. The only way he could played that ball was after hitting the wall and he wasn't hitting a winner in that case. I think he could even play the ball after the wall because Farag was no more in his way. It could even be a no let for some refrees.
Young Mister Farag should have been foot faulted numerous times. He continually dragged his trailing foot out of the service box on both sides of the court.
@@nortykid3017 too many referees don't call foot faults . In our leagues it almost always causes a bit of a furore when a foot fault is called, particularly against juniors. Farag has clearly sorted himself out, maybe as a result of being called.
Wow, that Ali Farag boy is going places
Thank you for saying it, almost 2 years after he's become world no 1.
He's been world champion for 3 years. Your comment is 1 year old. You don't keep up with the PSA do you man

Ali Farag's in a different league now!
Yeah, for sure.

Krishan Patel Totally.
I couldn't agree more

man if they played rn ali wud chop khalifa up 11-0
Should be nice to watch them to play nowdays.... :-)
Very nice game. It seems that white wear man is better, but winner is red wear man.
well the white wear man is currently world number 1 haha
And current world champion!
Ali farag the best player of squash in the world
Red wear man is now a financial softwear man.
@@fleurafricaine5740 Is he so? Thanks for your comment.
Amazing College Squash Players!!
These guys are awesome
Nice to know that the PSA ranking show that Amr Khalifa did not reach any massive heights, but know that Ali Farag is World No.2
Well, he's world number 1 now so. Further reinstating my point
@@LarryMcFly Ur point is invalid because Amr Khalifa did not go pro and instead became an investment banker that makes much more money than farag
@@johnho6954 okay but my point is that farag had reached higher points than Khalifa. Regardless of money
And farag probs makes more money from the tournaments he wins than Khalifa.
To be honest amr was too 50 at 19 he could have definitely been at Ali farags level

I heard Khalifa had back problems.
Khalifa is coaching in egypt
Ali a great Peter Nicol level retrieving, but still a good win.
this farag guy is good, he should play professionally
Now Ali is n1. Where is khalifa at?
fishing for strokes still.
Lot of phishing by AK. Some key some decisions were badly misjudged
13:30 stroke RLY?

@@GregBorn not a clear stroke at all
The other player was so annoying keep putting his hand up and that was not a stroke in the final moments he was looking for strokes most of the game.
very intense game
the guy in white needs to work on positioning to avoid those strokes
And now Ali farag the white guy is world no.1

You are about 8 years to late to comment this. He's now world champ, so..
