Awesome room and collection. I remember a pastor at my old church said something along the lines like would you trust a pastor with a read well worn Bible falling apart or one that has a Bible that never looks like it’s been open. So a messy comic room just means you enjoy your collection. :)
Love the organized chaos! 😄 Beautiful room & shows your passion for the hobby, and the people you’ve shared it with. Great and at times touching descriptions of your room’s treasures. Well done, Chris.
Hey Chris, I missed this one when it came out. I love the uncut, real life version of your room! Really great stuff you have in there, I love it all! You need employees haha! Thanks for the tour, until next year!
One of the coolest things about youtube... you can see 👀 other collectors room and all the cool stuff. Because I hardly ever come across any comic or pop culture people in my city. I'm in stillwater oklahoma... so almost everyone is into sports. Awesome room! 👌
Awesome room. You ever think about converting to wide filing cabinets for storage? I switched a year or so ago, and it's been great. I need to get a press for sure though.
Thanks! As for filing cabinets, they arren't really my thing. Though, I with I had shelves that pulled out on wheels, and I was original going to make my unit have pullout cabinets within each cubby, but it was just going to cost too much.
Awesome comic room. I would love to have my own comic room but I don't and all my comics are in a closet but in the hard BCW boxes so they should be ok.
Jerno, the room is lit 🔥 I gotta get on your program LOL. just a bunch of long boxes to the ceiling here. I know there some cool ish somewhere behind them. 😅
Always had my collection alphabetical title order, but as soon as I had good run of a title to file would have to get new box and rearrange titles order down the line. That gets old. So... Making attempt to file comics via release date, that way I will have a 2004 box and can add new comics without having to rearrange titles order down the line
Comic book storage is always a sour point with me. Unlike graphic novels , manga, and just books in general they're so thin so you have no real choice but to box them up. Which is a bummer because I like to display stuff. There are some ways around the boxes, like inclined file sorters, but nothing that is space effective.
If you intend on keeping your comics in the long box’s for awhile you should turn every issue inward to face the next issue face on. I know it’s a hassle but it keeps away the spine roll gremlins. That Thor run has me kinda green!🤨
I actually keep most of my boxes with the right amount of breathing room. But I need to switch the BCW short boxes for my Thor run because those ones are slightly longer. I hate when they are too packed as well.
@@The_eternal_virgin_1 Of course! Good luck in your collecting! The most important thing is to make sure you love what you're doing, no matter what any one else says or how any one else collects.

@@JernosComicsPopCulture I am not talking about worthiness of them in regards to use. Or being snobby. They rip along the seam. All you see in the DMV is Comic Care brand. Comic Care poly bags, especially modern, half were ripping as soon as you put the comic in it. Pandemic caused companies to pinch every penny. Oil went up, plastics went up then the bags got worse. Mylar too $$$ to buy for resale. I’m not stocking boxes with Mylar bags when the book is meant to move. the resealable bags are bags with glue on the flap or another style has the glue on the face and the flap sticks to them. I won’t buy them but plenty of sellers do and if you are not careful they stick to the comic if the book slides out by accident.
@@BoostersGoldComics Ahhh thanks for clarifying about the glue and I agree there. Sounds like more of a brand issue regarding 2 mil. I've never used Comic Care bags, but I've never had any issues with MCW poly at 2 mil. I also agree about using mylar for books to move. I know Ultra Pro's bags became lower quality some years ago. But I stick with BCW for poly.

Every year man your comic room gets more impressive👍
Thanks, Isaac!
I’ve never seen it before. It’s nice now. I don’t have 25,000 but it makes me think I should do a room tour, too.

I separate my collection based on decade, then alphabetically within the decade.

So cool! But how do you find spare time for reading? Retirement can't get any sooner, right guys? 😂

@roycestancabarloc1824 same for the mainland. I do everything priority. Starts at $8. Larger lots can fit into medium flat rate boxes for $15.
@JernosComicsPopCulture Right on thanks, love the videos.
My top 3 super heroes are batman Spiderman and Thor
Awesome top 3!
It's great that you use wood and not that worthless pressboard garbage.

Yeeee!
2 mil bags are trash. I cant find 3 mil bags. Bags with glue on them are the worst idea
2 mil bags work perfectly fine to preserve your book, especially 2 mil mylar. But to each their own. Not sure what bags have glue on them.
