Whenever I watch a Kevlin talk it always feels like if he's giving structure and explanation to the things I feel, but cannot yet explain myself. Such a great teacher and a beautiful mind he has.
PDSA (minute 52) seems to be identical to the OODA loop just starting at another place in the loop. Study -> Observe; Act (revise approach based on study) -> Orient; Plan -> Decide; Do -> Act
I wonder how deep this "from different backgrounds" idea goes. I have no degree, so it would be more difficult to get a job in the industry, but that _is_ part of my background, as I am unable to reasonably afford a degree. Is there a way that this type of background could technically twist in a way that having no degree could be favourable?
not everything is scrum & agile, which for me are only hyped words especially in the last decade. WIN32_LEAN_AND_MEAN has been around the early to mid-1990s. the concept of which LEAN_AND_MEAN is a part of, is older than the Windows SDK itself and comes from C practices of minimizing unnecessary code during preprocessing and compilation. anyway, great talk and if you liked this, i have 2 more suggestions from Kevlin Henney: ua-cam.com/video/w3JkpQAbTA4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/B3b4tremI5o/v-deo.html
36:45 being lightly packed for a short trip within a nice community is fine, but is is a serious mistake not to have and use very helpful tools in doing your work or 2019 example of two naive Scandinavian girls hiking in Morocco where they were Isis raped and beheaded while pleading for their lives.
@@williamlong4112 My comment was saying to know about your target environment and use all tools necessary to make the work easier on yourself now and in the future. The young Scandinavian girl's hiking in Morocco mistake was believing all of the lies that we are told about a certain supposed religion of peece espoused by an illiterate tribal warlord known as Muhammad who liked enslavement of non cult members. Apparently the only restrictions on murdering cult enemies who do not want to accept the cult or its teachings is that victims not be burnt to death presumably using fire.

That rock and stone configuration should never further be used as a metaphor for anything other than what the photos clearly show what is happening to that site, a construction team project for tourism revenues just like any other static theme park.
@Filip Twardzik "We" have to rely upon the supposed measurements done even longer ago than the construction because any such measurements now are meaningless as are the modern day photos that depict the outcome post construction project. The real wonders are the polished cut or carved 1,000+ ton solid stone pillars of some of the ancient Egyptian sites that came from hundreds of miles over the Nile river and a mountain rage where the quarry was found from where the rock had originated when this weight is several times what stationary land cranes can lift at a shipping port. ua-cam.com/video/-N7eARbAJmA/v-deo.html Nassim Haramein on Egyptology - Who Built The Pyramids? Nearly 15 years ago when Spring allowed mapping with any extension, I quickly moved all of our "pages" to end with .html. Security 101.

Always great hearing your views
When will someone do one on the biggest problem: sloppy code.
After 28 minutes I have realized: the style of this presentation is “dusty matrix”.
Begins to advocate code cant be compared to real objects. Then proceeds with code is like everything else. It dies. It can morph too you know.
Can we really not just put some kind of AI tracking on the camera so he's always in the center of the frame? We have the damn technology.
The technology just isn't there yet
