When you’re this responsive to your audience, you’re going to rule UA-cam. Thanks Chris. I appreciate it. When I post some videos of my snakes I’ll link you to them :)
I have a batch of 24 albino corn snake eggs about a week old I don't want them and they are fertilized what should I do with them I would like to donate them to someone in the reptile show
I absolutely love your videos! I can tell you're gonna make it big on UA-cam! I'm not into ball pythons but I do wanna breed exotic lizards and sell them, and your advice is more than applicable!
Great video! You're definitely a special kind of breeder lol. Not many folks care so much for the animals they won't even ship. Good information for beginner breeders man.
I am no way where you are at by a long shot. I sold my pied and poss hets on facebook groups about BPs in my area. They came here. Yes, it could be sketchy but the people I sold them to I stayed in contact with them. I put them up for sale as soon as they came out of eggs. I said message me and would tell them. I am not letting them go until they eat 3 times. In the meantime you see how committed they are in the snake. My pet store where I used to get rats from said they can't sell them. I won't ever subject my snakes wellbeing selling them to Pet Smart. They treat their snakes horribly. I love morph market & really thought about getting a cinny pied female from one of them. Then I remembered I ran into a breeder of BPs and into pieds and might have a female for me. Great thing about buying local cash is kin, same thing at shows. You go to a show and use a card you are paying the sticker price. Cash you can get a $25 discount or more depending on the person. I am in a wheelchair so I use the crippled card and get a little better than $25 lol Hey if you got it use it lol
Those are nice displays! I think when I start hatching baby snakes I'm probably going to sell out of my home by appointment only. That's what I do with my rats and it's been working really well. No show entry fees to deal with or display cases needed. Even thought doing shows would be fun all that is an extra expense. I used to sell hand-crafted jewelry at shows and I have had one or two people try it on and try to take off with it. I once had to jump my table and chase a woman to get it back. I'd be scared to let strangers hold my snakes that one of these days someone would take it and run. As a buyer I wish people on Morph Market would cut prices on the snakes I want. Cypress combos have not really come down, and alot of the Clown combos I want and High Intensity Orange Dream combos are still staying way up there in price. Monsoon, Confusion, and Monarch I can't come near! Some sellers actually mark their snakes up on Morph Market; not down, figuring that people are going to make offers and try to negotiate. They only seem to mark down certain morphs. (I have noticed what you're saying happening with Bamboos though). I keep a tab open on my computer 24/7 looking for the best examples of certain combos I can find in hopes maybe I'll eventually be able to find that snake that absolutely blows me away, fits into my breeding goals, and is in my price-range. Sometimes that can be a tall order. The local buy and sell groups on Facebook are good too. Selling wholesale probably wouldn't be worth it unless you had alot of normals you needed to move and had no other reliable buyers for those.
Hey I'm getting into breeding and I was wondering is there any website that's like a gurentee buy I'm going into breeding more expensive snakes like the orange dreamcicle and pastel and albino lavender. I'm starting it with my brother and I'd really appreciate you giving me your knowledge
Shipping properly is safe and fine. Snakes are in the dark where they feel safe and are carefully padded against bumps and changes in temperature. I have received virtually all of my snakes through the mail, and never had a bad experience shipping.
One thing that I found out when selling ball pythons is that it is actually harder to get Courier companies to ship them rather than actually selling them.
Hey Chris I love your videos and I've decided to become a breeder myself. You and other UA-camr have inspired me to do it. Anyways I'm moving to CO by the end of the year and id love to come see you at a show. Anyway to contact you directly away for some advice and or purchase some snakes from you? Hope to hear from you. Keep up the work!
That photo is actually a snapshot of a scene in the video. I took that video with my new camera, a Canon 77D with an EFS 10-18 mm lens. It's amazing how sharp the videos come out.
What do you think about being a new BP breeder/seller and keeping customers coming back with good deals, prices, contests, etc? Is this only a good idea for a limited time to get the ball rolling on sales or is this a good idea to do even after I get a steady flow of guaranteed loyal customers?
I plan on starting a business here really soon I just need to find a place to lease and I want to buy 15+ snakes at once I want to buy fully grown and proven breeders. Any advise writing a business plan any advise you may be able to give.
I have a one year old ballpathon with a 40gal tank my cousin left it behind we have been taking care of him, his name is pretzel, can you give me advice on the price including the snake, 40gal tank, light, and all that is in the tank. Thank you kindly!
Can anyone help me out on this? I got a python the other day right? It’s a beautiful snake it’s super tame super nice snake but for its size it’s pretty skinny. Now I know witch size of mouse it should be eating and how often you normally should be feeding your snake but I was wondering how you would feed it if your trying to get it to a more normal weight. Like if I should do the normal sized mouse it’s been eating more often or a little smaller mouse more often.
Depends on the gram weight of the snake, usually after a couple months after hatching I switch over to rats instead of mice. I also like to keep my ball pythons a bit on the heavy side in case they decide to go on a long fast, then they have the body condition to stay healthy.
Do you have a video explaining like how you Chose rats vs mouse from how much the snake weighs? Cause she’s like easily over 3 feet and she just looks super skinny
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures cool thank you for letting me know I have way to many year olds and hatchings season has been slow for me this year, again thank you love the videos by the way very edcuational

You’ve got to be my favorite snake breeding UA-camr. You’re full of awesome info! Keep it up. I’ll have to make it out to one of the Colorado shows.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Do you need a special license or anything to start breeding and selling?
Morph market isn't always that cheap some stuff..... Maybe I just have expensive taste lol 😂
That's a snooty that needs booping! ;-)
Id love to add that pastel bamboo baby to my collection!!! Bamboo has been on my list for a while
Bro I just put down 300 on a baby bamboo spider. He's a beauty
Bamboo is an underrated gene. Still many things you can do with it
I agree! So many possibilities.
Mahogany as well

One of my favorite in my collection is a female enchi bamboo. She was the first snake I bought online.

Always good videos, I'm nervous to start my own little breeding operation.... theres so many people doing it
Do you make the kids parents sign a waiver before holding a snake? Also have you ever had a snake bite a customer?
i hope i can buy one of your snakes. even if im in the Philippines

Hahaha! I was thinking of asking about meeting up for another one because the June show will be too hot for me to go to the show. Funny!
I gotta say thats the best thumbnail i have ever seen and if only i could get ball pythons in Australia they are illegal oh well 😅

I kind of started that way with really good prices and increased the prices as I was more popular.

Here's a good question...Have you turned a profit yet?
Yes!
How much are you asking for your pastel bamboo???
Not sure yet, I usually set my prices about a week before the next show.

Bro, you should have dropped a link to the display cases...like an affiliate link. It's not too late.
I'll have to check to see if ARS has an affiliate program...
Can you sell leopard geckos on morph market?
Yes you can!
