Love that Tech opened the game with an air raid formation to honor Mike Leach. Very classy of Ole Miss to decline the delay of game penalty.

Ole Miss is an embarrassment to the SEC
That was the only thing ole miss did that was “classy”. Other than that they played dirty with multiple targeting calls, kicking and Kiffen lying after the game, about something that didn’t happen.
@Rowdy Jr Ole' Miss and Mississippi State are not, and have never been seen as "elite" programs. Nor has Oregon. Reaching a #1 ranking a few times in a 120 years doesn't make you elite. Kansas State, the worst program in college football history, has been ranked #1 a few times. Would you consider them "elite"?
Coach Archie Cooley at Mississippi Valley was the originator of the Air raid offense.
I should've watched more TTU this year...the idea that they would beat a good SEC team by being the more physical team = 🤯!!!

The Raiders lining up in Leach's Air Raid Offense set was a very cool tribute.
Really cool that ole miss declined the penalty too. It would have been cooler if they ran the play tho.

It hasn't always been this way since 2000, but ever since Mike Leach took over at Texas Tech that year, you've been darn near guaranteed to be entertained by Red Raider offenses.

They didn't start playing until the 4th quarter.
Offense couldn’t make anything happen and the defense got worn down, OC is definitely to blame

And people say these games don’t matter but they do cause it helps prove just how tuff teams schedules are for instance people was clowning Tcu for struggling wit these teams trying to make a case for Alabama and for having an easy schedule and these same teams go out here and beat SEC teams. It should show the committee in the future that every team is to be respected and can compete cause any night can be their night. The Kansas state and Alabama game is also important because if Alabama wins big it shows that they could’ve gotten that last spot with 2 loses and if ksu win it shows that TCU went through hell to get there and the big 12 is to be respected for the near future.

It was proof last Bowl season when the SEC went 7-9. They are 1-3 so far this Bowl season.
FSU is 2-0 vs SEC this season. Most of the conference is average at best

Fucking livid Ole Miss kept their quarterback in. He got a concussion, and multiple times got up slow from the turf after. They might have risked that kid's life for what? A blow out. He should have been out in the second half.

@@kenneth1755 being unbeaten doesn’t mean the best. Cincy was unbeaten last year going into the playoffs and you’d say that’s due to an easy conference. SEC was not great this year. Georgia didn’t have to do a whole lot to stay unbeaten. Play one good team and a shit LSU. That’s it.

As for ole Miss the team today was not the team that took Alabama right down to the wire. And TT wasn't the team with a game above .500 record. Ole Miss played worse than their record. And TT played better than record. That's just the way bowl games sometimes go.
I'm sure someone will run the numbers on all these fourth down tries this year. From the games I've watched just punt or take the field goal , especially in the first half .

The reason why he keeps getting hired is because he's an offensive brainiac and he knows how to tutor quarterbacks. But he needs better play out of his defenses going forward or Ole Miss ain't ever gonna get out of the third or fourth tier of the SEC West.
Ole Miss got outcoached, out played, and looked BAD. Kiffin had better get some lineman who can pass block, and stop using that 3 man defensive line. You can't let a quarterback have all day to pass or you get killed. Also, just maybe, Kiffin may want to stop going for first downs on 4th down. Maybe it would be best to be doing that on third down. Kiffin was not my first choice as coach. He still lacks self control and good judgment. You got to know when to hold em and know when to fold em, he don't.

Fun fact. Dart lost his last 4 starts to close the season with USC. He lost his last 4 games to close the season with Ole Miss. That makes him 0-8 to close the season in two years? Bad luck or something else?
Damn, that's f*****d up because Dart is actually a solid quarterback with very good potential. Ole Miss's defense and that offense didn't have his back for much of this game.
When he was at USC he had no head coach and a horrible team. He actually played really well at USC and I was expecting him to thrive at Ole Miss. I wonder what the issue is

If the Special Olympics had a football league, this would have been their championship game. It was a matchup which resulted in a cacophony of errors, poor execution, and horrible play calling. I'm glad that TT was good enough in the long run to assure that the late-season (and hilarious!) collapse of Ole Miss was secured.

That's a good point. A lot of them SEC AD's, much of those trustees at SEC schools, and a lot of those boosters for these SEC schools don't want a Black or Latino man running their programs.
