I'll miss how relatable the show is. There really isn't a show that relates to teenage drama. Everyone wants to be different and create series about superheroes and stuff like that but we really just need a series about what teenagers face in their daily lives! Take it old school.
That's the problem with teenage shows, all it is is teenage drama. ABC FAMILY shows have incredible premises behind them, which is why SECRET LIFE and PLL do phenomenal in the ratings. PLL especially continues going strong because viewers get engaged with the storyline, and there's not too much teenage drama. AWKWARD.? That's all it is, teenage drama done in a very basic, and bare minimal way. Sure, AWKWARD. caught on for the first 2 seasons and a little bit of season 3, but people let go shortly after since all it is was back and forth drama with no meeting ground along the way. AWKWARD's. filming at least looked Indy style when it started and story somewhat unique. But overall, it got tiresome, and hard to watch AWKWARD. writers and producers keep Jenna and underdog all the time. Evolution is key for a series to last for more than several years. If AWKWARD. had abandoned its flaws and took more chances with Jenna, AWKWARD. would not be talking about the end of AWKWARD..
This show was authentically amazing, I am still as depressed for the final this second time I watched it just as depressed as the first tine I watched it when I was like 15 years old, SO RELATABLE, I never went to prom and I wish I had, the show actually made me realized the things that really matters in real life. I fuckinggggg LOVEEEEE IT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I really hope they reconsider season 6 and maybe one more. The thing is the connection I developed for this show goes beyond reality. Awkward is definitely among my favorite MTV shows ever.

123poter321 which is why, in 2015, i said 5ish to 6ish years. Not an exact date but i did say 5ish or 6ish, in that sense 5/6. August is like the end of the year for me, even though it really isnt. So i just included another year or so. My point was just to say that i've been with this show for a long time, and its sad to see it end :)
Just saw the finale and I love how it came around full circle with Matt and Jenna in the closet at camp. There was so much character growth after seeing that speech from Matty. I'm glad he told her to choose herself and that he knows they'll always end up together no matter what. I'll miss this show and how it depicted real life for teens and young adults.
I rewatched all the 5 seasons.. and so I’m here again.

I started watching this show exactly a week ago, became obsessed with it and finished the whole 5 session in a week!
Out of all the cast members that sat for the interview, Beau was the closest distance wise to the girl LOL She's so lucky! ;-;

Valerie was such a character I always love, I had a counselor at school and I remember she was just oike valrie except she wasnt a pervert or that funny, I always lived being with her at her office. This have been so far so great a show that can't be replaced by any other show, no shows are relatable like this even when youre 25 years old you watch this and you are like "fuckkk, I miss my prom" "fuckk I missed my graduation" like it truly got to my heart the fact that all of these experiences I am actually seeing how in real life they affected me and its crazy cause when I was 15 years oks I watched the show and i am now 25 years old and decided to re watch it and as an adult it actually opened my eyes, and the one thing I learned is that the things that truly matters are righ in your eyes and sometimes we can't see the importance on it, we rather walk away sometimes and tryn to avoid the drama that actually is fundamental cause from drama to drama you find these things that are way more important that drama itself when youre young and ignorant and naive. We need, we need more seasoooons, ow they are adults Af And being more awkward than ever
