I'm legit, super hyped-up for that CD-i core. I get that it's.... less than reputable, but still. Being able to mess with that library is going to be some dumb fun.
I wish there was an option in Super Attract Mode that just played game ads (and didn't necessarily load the game). Be a very cool animated screen saver!
Hear me out... SAM should have a mode where the current game / commercial is synchronised online with every other user. Ie we all see the same content at the same time. It would feel kinda like an old school TV broadcast and make us feel kind of connected.
A CDi and/or 3DO core on MiSTer would mean you could watch VCD movies on your MiSTer. Just putting it out there for anyone who might have a thing for forgotten and obscure movie formats.
Looking forward to the CD-i core! Wanting this one so badly. I've played many games back then and rented so many. Hopefully it will be in a working state soon.
Lu got my back on Monday's, got my coffee and update_all going. I wonder how weird it's going to be playing CD-i on direct video through a Retortink 4k? Probably going to be a recreation of Indiana Jones Lost Ark.
Super Frog also had the intro on the floppy version of the game, but you could skip it by just inserting the first data disk. Super Stardust is nice and Simon the Sorcerer is very good as contains speech over the floppy version. Microcosm is visually pleasing, but the gameplay gets boring. It's a nice addition to MiSTer though. Thanks for the updates. P.S. CD-I would be great for The 7th Guest if it supports the Video Cartridge Expansion in time.
I am so stoked about this CD-i news! Means I can stop waiting on Fixel to maybe actually build and release the Phøde. That thing is looking more and more like a scam every day. Very excited about CD32 and Super Attract Mode, too.
It would be wild to get CD-i before 3DO or Jaguar!
