Ok, Emily you look fire! Even though you may of been a little uncomfortable, you KILLED IT! The outfit was all out 80s and a really unique and cool way to celebrate/attend the NARBC!
Ik mega 80s vibes!
Yeah that 80s look with the side ponytail is excellent
She looked even better in person. And I should add that she really is a lot taller than she looks on camera.
She was totally rad
It makes me so happy to see Ed making jokes and doing bits on camera. I followed Snake Discovery when he always refused to even talk on camera!
Same!!
Same! And it really adds to the channel
I have the exact same costume of Emily but except for the pants I have different pants
What a wonderfully supportive step Dad Phil is, what a lovely guy!
@@kimberlyrichardson5943 I think your family are pretty special people!
Not that I can go to these events (I'm from England) but I'd really love to see a 'magical/mystical' theme, elves, fairies, whatever magical beings someone can think up 🧚🏻♀️🍄
Also just wanted to say I loved how Emily jumped into the back of the car when the guy was like no no I'll sit in the back.. it shows someone who was raised right & is thoughtful of others.. love to see it 🥰
I was thinking Fantasy as well for a theme, they could also do Sci-fi or horror. They could also do characters like, favourite cartoon character, film character ect.
Pretty sure the guy was her step-dad
@@louisecatterall869 I thought he was but I wasn't 100% sure so didn't just wanna call him her stepdad incase I was wrong 😅
@@raenfairy Sorry, I wasn't trying to one up you or anything, just genuinely thought you didn't know :)
@@louisecatterall869 No it didn't come across like that at all don't worry about it 😅 but thank you for letting me know 😊
As someone who has moved at least 50 times in her life... here's a tip for fitting stuff into the vehicle if you're running out of room: Take stuff out of the boxes as much as possible! Also works for freezers! LOL Looks like you had an amazing show! Your stepdad, Phil, is absolutely adorable. Love you guys! xo
I think that's why a lot of the snakes ended up in snake bags rather than containers.
Well you did the 80s costume now you have to go to the 90s
As a hoarder on the road to recovery, this is true. But be careful how far you take it, sometimes boxes are useful, e.g. cooking instructions on boxes in freezers.
I, too, adore step-dad Phil! He's awesomesauce!! Every step dad should be a Phil!
@@trala8911 oh gosh - yes! lol.
Ed being so excited by the frying pan is hilarious. That's definitely me and my wife Emily. My name's not Ed though, but close enough 😂
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aw! That’s hilarious! 😂
I really love how friendly and polite the snake discovery fans are (the punk person for example), they give you food and chocolate and are participating with the cool themes, it's awesome.
Also, Ed and Emily are so friendly and cheerful, it's delightful.
Edit: thanks for the information, I somehow missed the pronouns. I changed it to punk person.
As Emily was referring to them as they/them punk person might be more accurate but yeah, they seemed so nice. And I am always positively suprised how well the child fans behave as well. As a young teen I went to a YT meet&greet once and it was a screaming mess of fans there.
Punk friend wasn't a girl, FYI. They/them!
Hey there, the "punk girl" around 8:50 uses they/them pronouns so likely doesn't identify as a girl.
Emily: all the sweatshirts out cause it’s cold season now
Me in Texas: yes, the 75 degree weather is feeling a bit chilly compared to yesterday with 80 degree weather
Me (in my 53F room): What's a sweatshirt?!!
@Shard The IceWing preach. Literally it’s crazy
I did have to throw on a heavier hoodie today, as the high was 28.
That's why I'm begging for them to make windbreakers 😆
You are very lucky to live in a state that has such warm weather! I’m in Tennessee, we also have mild winters but today odd rainy and like 50.
Your zoo... Fantastic! But I can't see it in person. It would be amazing to see a video(s) to show the whole zoo... Each enclosure, the animals in them, back stories for the animals... Love you guys!!!!!
I totally understand this comment! They’re a bit far out for me too, but this request kind of defeats the purpose of the business aspect of the zoo… just sayin! All love!
They could do this on patreon.
Oh I would totally pay for a nice virtual tour!
@@ryannheninger1602 I'd totally pay like $20 or $30 to have one time access to a complete virtual zoo experience, maybe they make short educational vids introducing each animal. Then they only have to record those once and they'd have continual remote income :)
If you were able to do this it would be amazing. I’m from the UK and, although followed this page for years, will never get to come over. Xx
I love all the banter between Emily and Ed. They feel more like a real couple than most media in general
Shout out to Phil, what a great dad! Glad he’s willing to help :D
I'm not gonna lie but I think Phil sounds like a cowboy for some reason
I’m sorry - but Emily and Ed’s relationship is ELITE! I love them as a team and the amazing business and life they have created!!! Well done!!!
Ed's drying pan reference was *chef's kiss*
Edit: also the real quick "G, G or A, no-one rides for free" literally made me snort
The question is, which did he give?
I had to rewind the GG or A thing. He was real slick putting that in there.
I didn't catch it until I rewatched it months later, and it was so funny to me, I'm surprised I didn't see more comments about it
Can someone explain this?? Lol I don't get it...
Between the magic incubator and the vans they take to the shows, Ed and Emily are the masters of Tetris 😂
Emily and Ed always manage to put a smile on my face we love you guys so much!!
My suggestion for a "dress" event for a future show would be a 50's style sock hop. Big poodle skirts, white t-shirts, Bobby socks, Penny loafers, and saddle shoes.
Shiny black dresh shoes for the guys and dark rolled up jeans.
I love how the GHI morph has the same color scheme as the blanket. 😁 I bet it could camouflage on there.
Ed - “What you drinking?”
Emily - “Apple juice”
Suuuure Emily, apple juice. Lol.
In all seriousness I love your channel and have been watching it for years. You are part of what inspired me to get a ball python from one of our friends. Thank you for all that you do for your fans!
Same!
This is another detail that I didn't catch until I rewatched it lol
I know this might not be a big deal to other people but seeing you use they/them pronouns so casually for trans fans really means a lot to me as a trans man who has been watching your channel for a few years now. Thank you to Emily and Ed for being wonderful reptile educators AND great trans allies!
If your a trans man wouldn't you just be referred to as him... I mean I know genetically you aren't ( don't get offended) but doesn't that mean you are one now? Are trans and non binary the same now? Or is that just me.
@@Mothobius I think the person you're responding to means that it means a lot to him (I'm assuming, since he said "trans man," and you're right, that means he is a man--remember that sex is different than gender) that Emily used the correct pronouns for that fan in the video specifically. Many (though not all) non-binary people consider themselves trans, and are part of the trans community. So you can have binary trans people, who are men and women, but with the additional experience of being trans (this may or may not be where the person who you're responding to fits in), but you also have non-binary trans people, and this is where the person in the video might belong). I hope this helped you understand!
@@Mothobius EXACTLY.
@@TaraMichelleMD not every believes in your God and science doesn't determine nothin, science actually supports transgender identites/sexual orientations and both have been seen in wild nature like 2 penguins of the same gender taking care of a baby penguin and a chicken can become a rooster if they wanted to(obviously biologically they first start off as a hen)
@@TaraMichelleMD the person you responded to is asking multiple questions and has made multiple points, what do you mean "EXACTLY"??
I’m so glad most of the animals found a home!
I love those tumblers! The lavender hognose is precious!
I love how much more comfortable Ed is in front of the camera. As someone’s who has been watching for awhile now it’s great to see!
Love you guys!
Misha is a common Russian boy name. It's short for Mikhail (Micheal). I understand the confusion though. A lot of english girl names end with A so we associate it with feminine names.
….. omg you right XDD my own name ends with an a lol
it makes sense because latin based languages see A as fem like la, latina and a ton of other examples
I had a rat that I had named Misha. I always loved that name so much for a boy.
Honestly Emily and Ed help me a lot to see it’s not bad to be quirky and fun if you are , used to be bullied a lot for it back in primary school, Emily looked a little uncomfortable but she pushed through and rocked it, thank you Emily and Ed for finding time in your busy lives to be giving us so many videos , I know you guys be working late but thank you for being yourself and inspiring others
Ed is adorable in this! I love seeing him act all goofy!
Also when you want one of every design that Snake Discovery sells.
I can tell why she fell in love with him, he's a keeper!!
5:44 I love Ed just intently staring at a leopard gecko's junk to make sure Emily's gendering him correctly. Just reptile keeper things! 🤣
I have a leopard gecko and I used to work with them regularly. When they first showed Misha, I was like "are... You sure that's a girl? That's a pretty big bulge under his tail..." Also Misha Collins so.
Idk how common it is, I love that you guys bring rescue animals to the shows! Seems like a great place for them to get a second chance. You guys are awesome!
It could be fun to do a sport-theme! And the thought of a pin of a snake wearing a huge football helmet or something is just too cute
Fantasy/renaissance faire themed would be really cool I think? Or maybe "dress like ed/emily"?
PLEASE make a playlist of your convention videos!! They are some of my absolute favorites of yours, and everytime a new one comes out, I just have to binge all your other ones! Just a great display of reptile lovers everytime, just a good, wholesome watch! ❤️
My 13-year-old has recently decided that 90s grunge is their preferred look. As close as they can get to it.
Maybe do grunge for a future show?
It’s such an easy look to pull off (band t-shirt, oversized flannel or cardigan, skinny or straight leg jeans, and converses or skater shoes), but also a lot of fun and really comfortable.
The pin for it could be a snake with a beanie/touque and a flannel. Maybe a cup of coffee too, lol.
It makes me so happy that grunge is back! So comfy and practical.
I worked at the event center and had a chance to meet them. Great people all around. The 80's theme really through people who didn't know about it off. Loved it.
My favorite part is your interviews with other vendors- I love how you're always enthusiastic about sharing your spotlight ❤️
I've only had dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, & fish for pets. I never had a desire to own any reptiles, until seeing your videos. I happened upon your UA-cam channel & eventually subscribed. Emily's energy & genuineness is captivating. I am more like Ed-more laid back and would prefer to be behind the scenes than in the spotlight. It's amazing how you have turned your passion into a business. Y'all (yes, I'm from the south) are amazing and a cute couple.
Lodge just opened a cast iron museum and they may have a larger one,for all the cast iron nerds out there!!!!!!!! Love lodge! Lodge rocks!
I graduated high school in 1988. So the 80s are my decade :-) I loved it
lolol Ed really just said, "Well, GGA, no one rides for free." And I too would both want to detour to a giant frying pan and then question how many pancakes one could fry on it
You guys should get some of those swinging poster displays that you find in stores like Walmart and mount them in the store or zoo. That way you guys can still display the art your fans give you even when you run out of room on the wall behind the register.
Or take pictures of them in a collage and bow them up bigger.......OR take pictures of them , put them on slide for a slide projector and have a display area where people can stand and watch in the zoo or the shop...or whatever would work similarly in today's technology, definitely not tech savvy, since it's not obvious 😉🙃
Patient Zero is such a chill old man, I love him so much. I wonder if his condition is like vitiligo?
Same, I mentioned a reptile version of alopecia but yes, vitiligo fits better.
For some reason, joking about leaving Ed behind is TRULY hilarious! Something that jives with your overall dynamic across DOZENS of videos. Keep playing into it...
i love the trans flag termos, its adorable and your logo looks great in those colors!!
I honestly cry a little every time I see something like that in their videos.
@@LS-xy7zt the fact they used they/them for the person in the video too!! It made me smile as someone who uses all pronouns :D
I had to stop the video and scroll the comments to find someone else who saw that. It made me so happy to see the trans flag colours on that thermos! And I 100% agree, the logo does look great in those colours.
Love your videos! I thought Beetlejuice would be awesome for Tinley in March. 💚💜🖤💜💚 I’ll be there for my birthday weekend.
I literally thought Ed was hiding in the car and realizes "Oh wait. She *actually* left him-" XD
there's no way she actually did xD
She didn’t actually leave him! Omg! 🙄
She probably did a loop around the block, cuz the vehicle was definitely moving. My family does that all the time
You should get everyone to dress as if they’re on safari 😂 I think it would be absolutely brilliant to see at a show x
I like this idea
"We dont need to see-"
"we're here now."
thats just a full mood
I'm so excited for the merch to be available online!! If they're still in stock the first thing I'm buying is that lavender hognose thermos.
(To clarify I understand it's a work in progress and not likely to happen any time soon, but I'm still excited for merch)
That was my favourite design too… so pretty!
Ed you need a folding board. When I worked in retail I loved that thing! Made folding so much easier
I would really recommend a T-shirt folder! It REALLY helps when you have to fold shirts quickly!
These themed gatherings are such a cool concept and a great way to drive sales and interactions!
G,G, or A? Which one did you fork over, Ed? LMAO....as if I love you guys even more, now.
I love you guys so much! Y’all have inspired me to keep following my dreams with reptiles and helped me so much through dark times ! Thank you for being the most wholesome reptile UA-camrs ever.
8:40 I love how accurately it looks like that plush bearded dragon is sitting! 😂
15:28 Emily's response to being told that those tarantulas are sometimes called "pet rocks" was to stick out her tongue a little! 😆😜😂
24:18 Phil's response of: "I have Uber!" when they joked about tying him to the roof- he's so precious! 😍😂
These were my favorite parts of this video! 😊
Maybe you could do a pokèmon theme for dress up?
I'm sorry if you have done this already 😅.
Also all the inverts and snakes you got are all so beautiful!
They all have such a pretty morph!
The bits of Ed and Emily playing arround with each other is my favorite. "There's ed's encloser" is a personal favorite.
I would love to see an Adam's family show it would be perfect because they love reptiles
PERFECT!! Can you imagine Wednesday or Pugsley or....Thing??
haha I love it!
She HAS to put some darker coloured animals
If you ever see "Great balls of Fryer" at the shows you should interview them. They are amazing!
Yes!!! The annual footage of Ed loving the frying pan! Lol.
If I ever find a lifepartner, I'd want my relationship with them to be as fun and full of small jokes like these
Love how comfy ed is on camera now. You are the cutest couple really life each other up and balance each other.
Looks like Patient Zero has vitiligo, an autoimmune condition where the body slowly destroys pigment in the skin. It’s quite common in humans and largely harmless. He’s a beautiful gecko.
I would love to see a flintstone-themed-event ;) You two are amazing, I always enjoy watching your videos, no matter what it's about :) Thank you so much for all your efforts!
Thank you so much for all the work you are doing with adoption island! It´s so good to see animals go to a new home instead of beeing dumped somewhere.
I think it could be cool to do like a TV show themed one! The pin would have a tv on it in some way, and then everyone would come dressed as tv-show characters. Then it could be really cool to see the diversity in people and tv shows
Lol I love Ed's love for the worlds biggest frying pan your channel is one of my top reptile channels I been following you guys for past 6 years totally my favorite married reptile influencers
Another dress code suggestion for march could be St. Patrick's Day themed. Im glad that most of the geckos got homes!
Emily and Ed! If your looking for axolotls, there is a show in Saint Charles Illinois that me and my aunt went to last weekend. It happened the first and last Sunday of every month I’m pretty sure. It’s called Scott’s all animal expo at Kane county fairgrounds. They had a lot of axolotls the time I went plus so many snakes and more! Some are bred and some are rescues as well!
You know watching this channel has changed you, when you immediately say "Aaaaw!" When you see a smoll terrantula. 😆
And I LOVE IT! 😆
Lol, I always say that to our Ball, Sully when he's looking adorable "what are ya doing handsome?" Those Ball morphs, be still my heart!
Could do a black tie dress code XD. Honeymoon is a local chocolate shop that’s super awesome about being eco friendly! I was super sick this time, but I hope to catch you next time!
Phil is hilarious haha. Your fans and fellow vendors are so nice and chill! I’d love to go to something like this someday
“I bet this will make the best frying pan..” 😂
Hilarious lol. And those leopard geckos are very cute!
i’m in love with those cups!! cant wait for those to be available online
They were my favourite as well! Love the lavender hognose design and the trans pride flag ones in particular. 💜
Ed, you should check out the frying pan in longbeach, Washington. They actually cooked with it in the 50s.
I cant wait til you get merchandise online! I'm dying for a sweatshirt! That looked like the most fun show - congrats on selling tons 😊
dou you hav a cat
I want a Tegurito T-shirt!!!!
What great ambassadors for snakes/reptiles and the exotic pet trade. You guys are great.
0:28 Glad to see things panned out for Ed!!!
WAIT THE DRINK CUP WITH THE TRANS PRIDE COLORS ON IT IS ADORABLE AAAAA- 💙💗
I love that one persons punk fit you can tell that jackets not just for the show too gotta love modern punks
I love their patches: "Punch Nazis" and "they/them". Everyday is "Punch A Nazi Day", and that kid knows who they are already and isn't bashful about letting people know it, either. I love that about them.
Also, Arianna's jacket is a whole mood. I love them
I got my first hognose for my birthday named Barry and I love him to bits
If these videos were in real time you know dozens of people would have driven to a giant frying pan to collect Ed😂
My daughter watches you all the time. She caught her first garden snake yesterday. We made sure to take a picture! Thanks for being a clean channel.
Emily : "I left him....he's your problem now"
Ed later: "..... GC or A ....I brought you chocolate "
Me : 🤣 Understanding how lucky it is to have this kind of relationship!
Ok I know this is dumb, but what does "gc or a" mean?
@@bloodreddragons4626 Only those born before the 90s would know!
This was the days we hung out, and drove around.
Gas, Cash, or ... no one rides for free.
As someone who lives in a country with wild Tokay geckos, I just want to say...
Holy cow, that's one funny, ferocious gecko! I know how they can get when they're disturbed in the wild. Anyone who can tame them to be absolutely docile is a god, imo.
Ed is in rare form. It's great!
I don’t know if anyone has mentioned these already but movie themed dress ups are limitless! Same with anime, manga or comics. You guys are amazing! Love your vibe 😊
I LOVED the “punch nazis” patch on the punk girl’s jacket!
Their whole look was my favorite part of the entire video, and the "punch nazis" patch was the icing on the cake.
Hey Emily and Ed! I wanted to say thank you I have been watching your videos for years, way before you even changed your logo and I remember seeing that video and being proud! You guys convinced me to buy a beautiful blue eyed leucistic ball python and her name is Miku. I have learned so much from you guys over the years to the point I felt comfortable getting my very first snake! (I did a lot of research as well) I hope to be getting another once I get a little bit older and have my own place. I have had Miku for about 6 months not she has shed for me four times and has never missed a mill! She is already on small rats and is growing so fast. So I just wanted to say thank you for letting me become so interested in reptiles to the point where I got my own snake and now I have a new best friend! 😁🐍
I would love a garter snake video, about the different locales, if you’re taking suggestions for future videos. I have a friend who has Puget Sound garters and San Francisco garters (we’re in the UK where SF garters are legal and pretty common as pets), and it’s amazing how different they are, visually at least (their personalities seem to always fall on the cheeky scale).
Me: "You guys better stop buying a overload things at the NARBC!"
Snake Discovery: "BUT WE CAN'T HELP IT!"
( Try a theme for wearing old school outfits that would be fun :) )
You guys should get a backdrop for the wall behind you when you take pics with your fans 😊
Phil's grunt when you closed the door was absolutely priceless. 25:18
PLEASE make the drink containers and plushies available on your website! Also, can you please make a zippered hoodie and windbreakers for us? I can't wait!! 💙✨️🦉
Zip hoodies! Yaaas!
I am so happy that I got to meet you guys for my first ever reptile show! I had so much fun and I'm now setting up to get my first reptile, a gargoyle gecko.
Patient Zero seems like he has the lizard equivalent of vitiligo in humans. I wonder if it functions in the same way, where the cells producing the pigment are attacked by an autoimmune response?
here for ed saying "G, G or A no one rides for free" casually in this video
Snake Discovery needs a large delivery size van for their expos and travel :)
Yes 100%, you should send them a letter, and chocolates ofc
Theme ideas:
Monochrome=pick a color and everybody has to wear it head to toe
Something that starts with a letter= they have to wear one item that starts with a letter of your choice
Scavenger hunt= pick some items people have to bring and show to get a pin
Phil is epic, Phil needs to be in more often!
Phil should be someone on the channel more. Also I love the new animals! 💚😂
Glad you had a successful show even happier you had Phil to help out once again. Dress theme could be favorite children's storybook character or favorite movie 🎬 character.
