- Welcome to the third and final installment of the mill repair project! Today I get the CNC machine put back together and trammed so that we can machine the worm gear cradle and see if it holds up. This was such a fun project to share with you all and I am glad that you enjoyed it, a little different from the usual but for how often the milling machine makes an appearance, I figured it would be an enjoyable series for most of you. awesome series. and your video quality and editing is better than some of the veteran machinists. to get those quill feed to work properly can be annoying and finicky. as luck would have it i went outside to my shop last weekend i actually have one of those cradle in my cabinet of spare parts.
