Another excellent video. Always good to see your mom. No doubt you got your outstanding work ethic from your mom and dad. Love the relationship y’all have. I haven’t seen any okra being grown there. It’s very popular here. Keep up the good work.
I have a dream; that I go to Pennsylvania, stay there for a couple of weeks and visit as many of the Farmer's Market I can, just to buy me fresh veggies and try to eat all the delicious homemade foods 😋
I found that celery and parsley likes shade. I have sandy soil and never have nice celery or parsley when I plant them in full sun, my celery just turns into hay :-o Since I plant them in a shady spot, they do great. I also plant them on plastic to keep the soil more moist. This year I'm doing a test, I'm going to plant a few celery this week because our summers are much more hot and dryer the last few years (a normal Belgian summer is quit wet and max temp 25° C, but we have had temp up to 40 °C this year 😲 and not much rain)
I enjoy watching you and the veggie boys plant and pick and I will never give you a bad review or a thumbs down, I think everyone needs rain this year I live in zone 8 b and I'm getting ready to start cabbage cauliflower kale collard kohlrabi rutabagas turnips Chinese cabbage broccoli brussel sprouts and plant field peas now is our time to start fall gardening. Another good show keep them coming
Those eggplant were beautiful. I have some small plants growing. Have never had good luck with those and peppers due to coastal summer fog. Hoping that later planting will get the Indian summer heat.
wanted to let you know found your videos after following the vegie boys (who i love) for quite a while - I am now binge watching your archives and totally enjoying your videos. You are such a hard worker.......love watching all the different things you get up to on the farm. Hi from Australia.
Great video. Enjoy seeing you and your family working together. Yeah y'all get a good rain and y'all will have plenty of peppers. Stay safe and God bless.
thanks for the vid. Interesting to see conditions are very much the same here in WI. Sad sweet corn this year your egg plant is doing so much better than ours. Lake Superior did not warm up like it should and i think that had a big effect on how things are turning out , guess we are going to have to put in more tunnels or move operations a bit farther south. Thanks again.
I've seen sweet corn delayed for a couple of reasons. If you're getting nights below 50, that cancels out that days worth of gdu credits. Or if you are >100 during the days, all bets are off, the corn matures strangley. One ear will be mature and end kernels drying out, the next will be just getting through blister. I'd probably lean towards to cool night temps. Good luck.
Logan do any of your customers roast the large green peppers you picked. I grew a lot of them until the drought hit Colorado. I roasted over a bushel, usually two , peeled them and froze them. They are so awesome. I just roast them on the bbq grill. all of your stuff looks awesome. You do such a good job with the food and the videos. (you kinda snapped at your mom, you showed her the one egg plant and she said its too small, and you said PICK IT, I know you are busy, but she is your mom ) Any way thanks for another awesome video. I show them to friends sometimes when I get the chance. I missed Ben and Sammi
LOGAN: Quick question. Doesn't washing the vegetables cause them to spoil quicker. I know it's to get the mud off but I was just curious. At our farmers market, they tell us to wash the veggies right before we use them to stay fresher longer. Elaine from Florida 🔥👍🌴😎
Just rewatched this video. I missed the eggplant drop during the washing the first time lol. Did you have that one for supper? lol. How often do y’all drop melons cantaloupes or pumpkins throwing them to each other in the field. I’ve dropped quite a feed in my day.
Your celery is doing poorly because celery categorically requires moist/wet loamy soil. Illustrated example would be Sanford, Florida. Prior to WW1, the place was a swampy cesspool [some argue that it still is]. Massive fields of celery were planted to dry out the swamps. By the 30s, it had worked. So much so that in WW2 the Army Air Corps built a training base in Sanford [now SFB, Orlando Sanford International Airport, far more user friendly than MCO, Orlando International IMHO, but I digress]. The location where your celery plants are just isn't best practice [as my Ag teacher would say]. If you have a marshy or swampy location on your farm, plant it there and marvel hoe effectively the celery sucks the swamp dry. Don't take my word for it, do an experiment and see for yourself. Shalom.
Additionally, your soil pH/chemistry may also be a factor, in that celery does well in neutral to acid soil [pH 7 or lower]. Swamp soil usually has tannic acid from the decaying vegetation [think cup of black tea]. As my late Uncle would say, when assessing his orange groves, "Your soil chemistry tells you all you need to know. Hand me that sample bag..." He was well known at the U of F ag sub-station in Immokalee, FL.
You skipped another main reason why customers should wash their produce, you have no idea who has put their hands on them at the market, people like to pickup, feel, and smell and then not buy...
"It aint much but it's honest work" I like that. Well done.
❤️would give anything to be back in the fields with my Dad and grandfather working together for our family. You all are so blessed.
Gorgeous pepper plants and beautiful weed free rows.

Great looking viggies, my corn is also late in getting ripe. Thanks
Your egg plant and peppers look great Logan but those tomatoes were out of sight! What variety were they?
Almost 20 k congrats 😁😁😁😁
looking good. I have been picking eggplant for 2 weeks now and the peppers are coming in.

Love them all🙂
Very nice looking farm.
Nice harvest, ever wonder freshly urine will do with a few plants?
Very nice
Reference celery and curly parsley need more water. Plus, high night temperature is counterproductive for both.

Here in Belgium (Europe) we don't see such big egg plants in the shops. They are only max. 8 cm thick. Don't they get more seeds when they are bigger?
Хорошие баклажаны, люблю их готовить
Logan,my heart breaks every time I see you guys working without gloves.Protect your hands.
I think those eggplant are a good size if i was to buy eggplant I would buy those cute dogs by the way
why make so much distance row to row??
Veggie look nice⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🍆🌶
Those are literally egg plants hehe. The ones that we have here in the Philippines are kinda long and slender.
Sorry to pester you with questions. But I was just curious if you enter anything you produce in the local fairs.
We have entered them in one local fair near us but it usually takes a lot of time so we don’t always get to do it every year. Thanks for watching!!!
If it does rain how will the peppers get water with the plastic mulch around them..?
The mulch is perforated and allows water to pass through it.
@@beckyumphrey2626 OK.. thanks for the info
How come you don't use drip irrigation on p!astic mulch crop's
It’s a different type of irrigating and we only do it for our strawberries. It’s easier for us to just run the pipe. Thanks for watching!!
Summer has had Extreme Heat and Extreme Drought in many Different parts of the US making Fruit and Vegetable Production Challenging.🙏
We just got a total of 6” of rain this weekend.
Your peppers have sun scold (heat and intense sunlight). The ones you were dropping off in the field.
Celery needs lots of water. The Peppers had sunscald.
حصاد رائع
👍
