I've got to agree with Joe, the most satisfying part of making something like this is putting on that first wipe of finish on. It's always been my absolute favorite part of woodworking.
As a new and extremely happy ZMF Verite Stabilized owner I watch this video with pride and gratitude and a bit of jealousy and also wish I could be a part of the ZMF team! I would love to be a part of the ZMF family and help to further the future of these exquisite, heirloom pieces that are so masterfully crafted! You should all be extremely proud of everything you do! All the best and a happy and healthy New Year to all at ZMF!
Zach, I am honored to have you and Bevin as friends, watching your company grow and your hard work pay off, with a dedicated and passionate crew has been exciting. You are an inspiration to me! I can't wait to watch were you go in the New Year and years to come!
Scaling up the creation of artesian products, without losing some of the edge and passion of the founders, is often a huge challenge. Having seen this, I think you all will navigate that smoothly and seamlessly. The future for ZMF is very bright, and that's good for everybody. Looking forward to getting my first ZMF sometime this year.
Really enjoyable video, you can see the commitment to the craft and the artistry of the entire team in making such beautiful headphones. As someone who has personally worked in fine furniture making, you really show how the wood is a living and unique thing, requiring real skill and patience to bring out its beauty and glory. Thank you for sharing this with us. I look forward even more to receiving the blackwood Verite open that I ordered!👍
Happy New Year to the ZMF Team and thank you Zach for the lovely video….how fulfilling it is for me to see and hear from the talented crafts people and technicians who make ZMF’s!…. it almost brings tears to my eyes. I wish I could more easily communicate to you the deep emotional connection to music which my Vérité’s (Open and Closed) facilitate for me. They so often “make my day” and serve as a Torii (the Japanese Buddhist gate/arch structure signifying the transition from the mundane to the sacred) as they make each listening session special, if not sublime. Thank you all.
I just recieved the green burl stablized Auteur that was labled Chiclid. It amazes me that each unique Ltd seems to have its own name. Amazing attention to detail. Even the felt under the gri and the box lining is matched to the color of the cup on the limited editions.
Nice video (you should reduce a little the volume of music in background as it partially cover the voices), having 580 and 6XX driven by an OTL I will be at the dealer's shop to listen the Auteur once will be available for test (considering those are not a cheap product I need to test before to buy... if then I will buy... I can't know without testing them). Wish you (all) a good 2022!
More than 500 views in 1st 5 hours. There is a lot to be very proud of here. The beauty, the passion, the joy, commitment, artistry, Joie to Vivre, sense of shared. Wow. Mike Well done all.
This is SO COOL. Amazing to realize the artistry and passion of everyone in the staff, in addition to Zach and Bevin's, and the appreciation they all share for the craft. Love my ZMF's. Thank you all!
I listened to the Auteur Classic at a hifi shop yesterday. I loved the extremely natural and detailed sound. 1st class engineering sound wise. I didnt like the weight of the headphones, so I didnt buy them. I would love to see a super lightweight ZMF headphone similar to the Audio Technica R70X. Less Harley Davidson, more Lockheed F-35. Peace.

You're the best Jim! Will always remember that first show you helped me out with at Axpona. =)
Great video, Zach & Bevin! Can't wait to feature even more of your amazing creations in 2022!

Best option for you might be to get something like redwood with magnesium chassis, it would be under 450 grams for sure.
