My husband was told about 30 years ago that he had to cut his hair for work, he didn't cry and whine.

Their excuse about the hair thing is silly, years ago I was in a bad position and after I overcome my problems I was hired for a job it was related to safety and health I was asked to cut my hair and I'm half black, I didn't cry about racism because I'm not overthinking stuff, glad I'm doing fine now because if I did complain about it and walked away who knows where I'll be now, your hair can grow again but if you need a job you'll do anything to get it ...
I agree totally! I am a white woman who, up until recently had never cut my hair. It was 7 ft 8 inches long.
If I had walked into an office with seven and a half plus feet of hair dragging behind me because I wanted to wear it down that day, do they think that would be appropriate for a government office? Absolutely not.
I had to get up 3 hours early, every single day to make sure my hair was PROPERLY braided and pinned up.
Being white, I can't just do my hair and expect it to look that way tomorrow with a slight touch up, it has to be done from scratch 100% of the time.
It's not discrimination, it's simply being in line with the company's dress code.
@@deannacrownover3 i have super thick wavy long hair (like Brooke Sheilds 1970s/1980s) and always had to tie it up or French braid it because it didn't look professional. I still do that everyday or I wouldn't have been taken seriously at work.

They quoted MLKs "I had a dream" speech but then they said they supported Beyonce talking about Malcom X. Malcom X and MLK did not agree on many of their ideas on how to fix issues within the black community. Malcom X had a huge issue with the black community being pawns of the Democratic party. He saw through their lies and manipulation of the black community. He believed that the black man needed to step up and take more responsibility for his actions to fix their issues. These kids have no idea what Malcom X stood for.
He also didn't think very highly of Republicans either.
