I wish they wouldn't have canceled the show. I understand Billy Bob's hand in it and his reasoning, but I would rather have 2 more great seasons and one mediocre one than nothing at all. His acting in this series was phenomenal (as was expected).
It's a bit obvious why Corrupt Entertainment/ Hollywood cancelled it after the Opiod Crisis episode.... and, um, er, ,,,, Trump's bringing opioids, the incredible increase in overdoses in America, and the border crisis connection.
Not sure I buy them making something mediocre. The story and writing behind these is incredibly interesting and gets you hook. Season 1 might have been the most hooking series I've ever watched in any series!
Having nothing to offer the judge but a proverbial "nu uh" in the face of physical and irrefutable evidence, has got to be the most boneheaded move a lawyer could make.

What the heck happened to Goliath? First season was great, then it just turned stupid! Writers on drugs? Sorta like what happened with Two and a half Men. What were they thinking coming up with a Billionaire who feels he has to kiss butt to get a date! Same writer used for last seasons' of. Goliath?

Yup. That scene was the pivot point of the story. The judge got the best line, "Nothing new was unearthed? Is that what you mean to tell me?" Classic.
If the storytelling and writing could have kept up with season 1’s level, I believe this show would still be on.
