I grew up with my dad and grampa hunting, I understand the need and appreciate how "ethically " you hunt . Not just you, your whole family! And for all the people who don't hunt or just don't agree you are forthcoming and honest, even sympathetic. Thank you. Perhaps in a discussion video you can talk about the god vs. bad ethics/behavior when hunting so people can better understand. Even the truth behind trophy hunting. I feel many people only see the bad behind that
As someone who grew up around farmers and hunters, I do wish more people could show the good side of hunting/farming. I think most get stuck on the idea of animal lives ending rather than the good it does to keep herds/flocks healthy.
I don’t hunt but when Jonathan starting counting down how close I was at the edge of my seat. Tears of joy when Jonathan and your friends brought him to you. Thank you for sharing

I have plenty of friends who hunt . I haven't yet at 60, maybe not. One of my best friends is an avid outdoorsman. Hunts every thing. His wife got her first buck this year as well as her first bear in British Columbia. Their youngest daughter just got her first buck this week in Texas. It is a wonderful sport that all family members can participate in.

I havent gotten keen with archery yet, but this was my first year rifle hunting (No luck this year for a buck, but I can still get a cow elk tag!).
I'm grateful for lovely ladies like yourself to inspire me to confidently pursue hunting and enjoy it with my spouse (whom is very excited I'm willing to partake in something he is so passionate about.)

Grew up among hunters and have certainly eaten my share of venison. My grandmother used to sear the chops in garlic butter. Wow!
Do you find much difference in preparing the meat of a larger buck or do you just tenderize more?
I grew up hunting with my dad and grandpa and absolutely love it! Whether I get a deer or not something about being in the woods gives you complete relaxation and calmness♥️ With that said I would love some pointers/tips on getting a nice size buck! My very first year hunting on my own I was able to get a doe but since then I have not gotten anything😔 I’ve seen tons of fresh scrapes/rubs and tracks but have not been able to get or see anything!

I’m a city girl and have never gone hunting, and honestly don’t have any desire to do so but I’ve moved to a small town outside of Calgary and a lot of people hunt. So I’m getting more used to it. I understand the need of hunting but just don’t think I could do it unless it was life and death to me or mine.

I'm so happy for you Katie and your hubby. I would love to hear the discussion on your hunting beliefs. My hubby and I go into the woods together I don't think I could shoot myself but whn he gets one we pray over thr deer and before the hunt we pray as well. We also donate half of everything to either hunters for the hungry or to our local food banks thn if course the is taxidermy and bragging rights to follow. Happy hunting darlin. Great job !

Love you and your videos, but I don't understand the "joy" over killing an innocent animal,doing nothing more than looking for food. I felt sorry for him, and personally, I couldn't celebrate a kill or do one. I do appreciate that you don't kill and walk away,that you eat what you kill, but I just don't get the rest.
I am just being honest and hoping you can explain what I am missing.
