Based
realized havent made a cover of it yet so i have to do it lol
Its songs like these that convince me that the soundchip was underutilized back in its day.
So true
Naw many mega drive games used the chip
You know what's actually underused?
Periodic Noise
@@ssg-eggunner i was more referring to stuff like the sega master system and early zx spectrum 128k models. Stuff that only had that chip as the only sound. Otherwise in tandem with other chips its definitely better.
That’s like one of the reasons why modern chiptune exists, cuz LOTS of old video game sound chips were very underutilized!😄😏😎
This drums were the best I've ever seen on an SN76489, it even sounds like the beats Tim Follin made on 2A03 on the NES
Damn! I was just going to attempt to do a SN7 cover variant of this tune too, after completing it for the T6W28 chip, heh. Hell, it’s even miles better than my T6W28 cover to begin with! 😂
Sweet cover! 👍
i wanna see your take tho 😳
Making that SN7 weep in pain
Nice SN7 cover of the song!😄🤩😎👌
those drums hit different
hawt
C🅾️CKTAIL
This chip is so buns
Veri gud :0
noice
Прикольно :^
You should try the t6w28
It's basically if the sn76489 didn't suck
sucks that i will still abuse the noise for bass (its actually pretty good) and channel 3 is near useless anyway for me tbh, the t6 probably wont change that
@@64Abstract i mean you can use ch3 for echo or chords
not ideal tbh i still need a square to play kicks
@@64Abstract well then my idea would be using psg3 for additive synthesis with psg4 on bass and drums to make it sound more impactful
was that single channel echo?
yes
@@64Abstract nice
I bet it's the chip for the Commodore 64, right?
it was for the ti-99 series of computers
@@CMOSTheBattery Got it. I wasn't sure, since I know only the NES, SNES, Genesis and some pc sound chip.
noep,, the C64's soundchip is called SID ,, and some other name that i dont remember but yea !
@@CMOSTheBattery
And pretty much in nearly every Sega home and portable console to date, with the exception of the CD-based systems of course, heh.
