    I agree with the second question he should use combinations A = 5C1 and B = 5C4 ,
    B = A

    For the first question, we can use the formula of area of a parallelogram, ABSin(theta) sin(theta)'s maximum value is 1, when sin(theta) is 90. Hence this is definitely less than 24

    another easy way for question with equilateral triangle PQR. We know Circumference is equal to Pi * d And the perimeter of triangle is d * 3 So Pi is greater than 3 which means B is greater.
    More explanation.. why did I say peremiter is d * 3 ? Its because its an equilaeral triangle and r1 + r2 is the same as the r inside the circle which means it is r * 2 which equals the d

    For the last one, can't you just see that square root 5 > 1.5 already, and then reason that it will still be greater if it is multiplied by any height?

    • @dazaisans
      @dazaisans 2 роки тому

      @Tejaswi Pant but height cannot be 0.5? it wont satisfy the rest of the given info. (0.5)^2 + 1^2 does not equal to 5. when the value of height is 1 only then the hypotenuse would be under root 5 in this case.
      (sorry this is a year later, i just recently started taking gre classes)

    Second question (subsets of S), how did you conclude that order doesn't matter? Is that implied in the term subset?

    • @matthew-m
      @matthew-m 2 роки тому +1

      A set (thus also subset) is by definition a collection of objects, meaning order doesn't matter. For example the set {1, 2, 3} is the same "set" as the set {3, 1, 2}

    • @wenanyaugustine3311
      @wenanyaugustine3311 Рік тому +1

      He is right in the second question he should use combinations A = 5C1 and B = 5C4 , A= B

      @Nipun_Chauhan Рік тому

      The number of objects in the subset are asked.So order , obviously, doesn't matter.

    I am sorry a question that you solved at 14:25 about the quantity, can you describe what mathematical concept proves that if a+d > b+c then a^2 +d^2 > b^2 +c^2???????????
    There is no such mathematical proof that says the same things. Cause if that is true we would never have had the formula i.e (a+d) =a^2 + d^2 +2ad

      You have to use information about the angles in the figure. By the pythagorean inequality, b^2+c^2e^2. Thus, b^2+c^2

    3rd question:
    PR=QR=QP=r So, perimeter = 3r and as radius will be r/2 circumference = 2*pi*(r/2) = 3.14r
    Therefore B is greater.
    Nway Thanks for these it was really helpful.

      No, the answer is b. You can easily see it from cosine theorem (which I think is the most clear solution wrt the one presented): e^2 = a^2 + d^2 -2ad cos 88° but also c^2 + b^2 - 2bc cos 92°. By knowing that cos 92° is negative and cos 88° is positive you can see immediately that a^2 + d^2 = b^2 + c^2 + positive stuff

    for the question in around 17 minutes in the video, the answer is c. they both are equal.
    visualize the figure by adding 2 degree to 88 and subtracting 2 degrees to 92.
