Hey man, I was watching your Fear Factory reactions a lot like a die-hard fan, but I NEVER expected to see the band that basically formed my music taste as a Russian.
Now, I'm not sure if you've been told anything about this band, but from the perspective of your musical background I can see it might be confusing. This band means A LOT for hundred thousands of Russians who was born in early 90s / late 80s. It's a unique punk band which brings you the fairy tail story in every song - about vampires, werewolfes, criminals etc etc. This makes this band unique. This 'mental' guy is not really mental but at the same time it's not an entirely gimmick as well. This music was his world and he was living every moment being there on stage and processing through himself all the music living the characters he's been singing about. He is a legend but unfortunately passed away.
I'm not really sure why you took that shitty recording though, brother. It's really bad representation of this band.

Their gimmick is they play mix of punk and folk stuff, the lyrics are usually some fun horror story, there's one called Dagon inspired by H.P.Lovecraft. Over time they went into harder music which alienated some old fans and caused a split between two of the frontmen but in my book both early and late directions are awesome. If you want some more violin stuff, you should check out Kukla Kolduna (Warlock's Doll would be the closest translation i think) its their other hit song.

@@mranderson9318 попса бывает разная, бывает потому что её специально сделали по избитой рабочей формуле и это плохая попса, а бывает потому что звучание получилось настолько рабочее и запоминающееся что песня заедает в мозгу и играет из каждого утюга и потому набивает оскомину, это не так плохо ибо всё равно является продуктом творчества, а не маркетинга.

Fun fact: frontman Michail Gorshenev "Gorshok" (it's "Pot" in russian) lost his teeth by accident in his childhood. This came in handy when he became a punk. In ordinary life he wore a prosthesis:D

I recommend for you old Russian punk band Оргазм Нострадамуса (Orgasm of Nostradamus). It's pure fu*king madness with very crazy texts and aggressive music
Now as a separate comment, as we share a lot of common favorite bands, I could suggest you some Король и Шут tracks that might be up your alley: Исповедь вампира (thrashy song), Хардкор по-русски and Мёртвый анархист (one of their biggest hits). From the old records I would suggest "Охотник". If you want live versions you can check the show recorded in 1999 called "Ели мясо мужики" - it's one of their most good recorded show in terms of quality - both picture and audio. But then again, to get this stuff seriously it's better to take the lyrics and translate.

Yes, Misha always liked Rotten, the whole punk culture, and he himself was always a punk. He had a funny incident in Israel while on tour. He was always looking for punks in places to hang out with, getting them booze and stuff like that. At the next party place, he woke up and discovered that all his documents had been stolen, including tickets for the return flight. Since then, Misha has sworn off drinking with unfamiliar punks))))
