  • In this three-part series, comedian Babatunde Aléshé is visiting the island of Ireland for the very first time! Rather than using the internet for travel tips, Babatunde is letting the locals guide him around Ireland to help him find hidden gems.
In this episode, Babatunde visits Galway, where he learns how to play Gaelic Football (or tries to), visits the Kicking Wall at Salthill, samples the local delights at the Hazel Mountain Chocolate Factory and shucks fresh oysters.

“The Ireland of Ireland” I think.

It's a politically correct way and very polite way of saying both ireland and northern Ireland. Ireland refers to the Republic of Ireland only... it's a tentative subject still, hence the use of 'island of ireland'.
For me, ireland is the entire island, for others of a unionist persuasion, it's not.

The British pronounce Ireland as Island for some reason

@@JS-uq7iy Most English accents are non-rhotic. They don’t pronounce their “r” except at the beginning of words. Even then it often sounds a bit like Ceaser in “the Life of Brian”.
The West Country is the most notable exception.
