I would like to see a video game that is either management or strategy in nature, that focuses on demonstrating why a candidate thinks their policies 1) are sound in practice and 2) will represent the voter's play style reasonably. Basicly, I am calling most of the political games lazy, yes, even triple A games that aren't directly endorsing a candidate. A proper political game should treat the gamer as someone whose policy positions are worthy of respectful, civil consideration and not merely as a source of entertainment for ad space for their campaign. The best possible political video game though? One that demonstrates how First Past The Post is a notoriously bad voting system for representation of the voters in a riding and how there are alternatives that would produce much better results, like Proportionally Represented Multi-Member Single Transferable Vote Ridings.
My PhD dissertation is on the use of video games as a political space. This was, by far, one of the best videos on that general theme. Ever. You're setting me a high bar here 😜

You went around collecting allies such as spider man, willy wonka, superman, etc. Everyone had a special move and it was all a very surreal propaganda flash for voting for Al Gore back when he was running. The super moves were very weird, for example superman's ultimate move was spitting ears at the ground before summoning Christopher Reeves to kill everything on screen. It was really long, had chapters to it and it took a good afternoon to beat. I just wish someone could find it so I could play it again.

Like a Super Pac that allows you to fire lasers from your finger tips or getting the people from Nasa to give you a double jump ability. Or an ability called the Flex, where Michelle Obama flexes her arms and walls crumble.

My favorite political simulation game, and I have yet to see one come close to being a full featured and cool as it, is "Shadow President". I haven't seen another political simulation that's come out since that's anything like it. It's a shame. It's such a damn good game. If any game deserves a modern remake, that one does. It's one of those games that's amazing that no one has ever heard of that really deserves some love.

My favorite political simulation game, and I have yet to see one come close to being a full featured and cool as it, is "Shadow President". I haven't seen another political simulation that's come out since that's anything like it. It's a shame. It's such a damn good game. If any game deserves a modern remake, that one does. It's one of those games that's amazing that no one has ever heard of that really deserves some love.
