It won't exceeds , it starts badly throttling when reaches at 90C , some time stuck at 0.40Ghz
So I usually use 22Watt not 25 watt

The 7520U pretty much dumps most of it's stats into power efficiency. I get that they are trying to make it more power efficient, but does the performance cost making it perform closer to a Zen 2 Ryzen 3 really worth it?
Also, the 610M is a disgrace to RDNA2 name. The fact that it loses to Vega 6 and 7 which are older is a big shame.
When you have half the performance at half the power draw that's not efficiency.
610M has 2 graphic cores, that is brutal bottleneck. I believe it comes down to cutting the cost. You gotta understand that 5300 and 5500 was lower mainstream at the time, but now, 7320 and 7520 is basic and upper lowend. AMD expects that for playing, people go for mainstream again, with 7735.
@@kingie66 The 5300U and 5500U also supported dual channel memory unlike the 7520U, this crap is not upper low-end it's ultra low-end.

New 7000 series with 20 in it is a scam, they place weaker product but put a 7000 series in the name so manufacture can place higher price on that weak cpus

The Ryzen 5 7520U is a disgrace to the Ryzen 5 name honestly. The CPU itself isn't very good, and to say the GPU is subpar would be an understatement. Seems like the 5th gen will be the best one for a year or two more.

In AMD power hungry igpus, those 610m at 20w max, really shows them lagging behind... Can we pump that TDP to 25/30w using 3° party apps???

Overall the output of the 7520u seems like one 3500u rearrenged to work with a ddr5 RAM at 20w max and if you could pump more watts it would performe better, and if AMD could squeze in another couple of CUs the merryer

Also, even though it had double the ram, the 7520u performed nearly the same as 7320u. It has the same core count, same igpu and nearly the same clock speeds. Is there any reason to buy the r5 of these 2 cpus over the r3? Feels like a waste of money.

I just found out that these 7000 apu run at very low TDP. How about you try to increase the tdp to 25w or 30w and see the difference.

Actually I heard from my brother that laptop motherboards are really bad and can't handle much power. Meaning companies cheap out on the motherboard.
That's why they have such low wattage and we think that it's for better battery (tho in some case it is).

The i3 1215U supports dual channel DDR5 memory which would be great for games but often times they sell it with single channel DDR4 which is really bad.

but you are using fsr arent you? because i have watched benchmarks of gaming laptops with ryzen 5 5600h, which is much more powerful cpu and it isnt able to play it on over 100fps in 720p. only with fsr it can reach over 120 fps.

ryzen 3 7320 is not that bad . if you play valorant in 720p . it can give you 100fps+ same goes for gta5 it gives 70 fps+. i have the same laptop but mine gives performance better that what shown in video
