Hello, Adam. Crossover take place often. I had a red checker cock that splits blue and he carries also dilute associated to red. His mother was a yellow checker. He has bred blue dilute hens. His full brother, a red bar, also bred dilute blue hens. Cheers.
Buenos vídeos Yo tengo el mismo proyecto desde hace 5 años Este año tengo 20 amarillos en el equipo de vuelo 9 portadores y 2 platas Todos hijos de palomas voladas de fondo y gran fondo Un saludo
Father of both of these is a 3x Federation top 5 winner. The hen did well but wasn't a champion and this cockbird is unraced but his nestmate raced well. Their young will be racing in 2021, and once I have the genes combined correctly I'll be able to cross them into better and better stock.
Adam Archer Pigeons Yes, Manley’s loft lives in Perth I believe and he mentioned he was getting some birds from you to improve his flock ... I’m here in Hawaii ... Aloha 🌺
I am trying to experiment what I watch in the video and your advice given. Now to get a grizlle pigeon. I have paired a black with checker were the black is domimemt. So god bless you Kripal India
Adam Archer Pigeons o ok I have in spot silvers and reds remember I asked you a question long time ago. I breed dark checkers with red checkers or silvers and I get ink spots or almonds looking
Hello Friend, It seems that you have hatching problems. That is due to bacterial issues in the breeders. Make sure you medication for 2 weeks straight before breeding season.
Adam the colour name of those two half brothers is called a MEALY and the one with slight checking is known as a STRAWBERRY MEALY . PLS TRY AND USE THERE COLOUR NAMES so other people know the common colour name for these birds . I have a barless mealy hen paird to a mealy cock . The last two youngdters i bread from them one was black and the other a barrless mealy .
Hi Aaron. The names you've mentioned here are the incorrect names occasionally used by some fanciers. Because I do a lot of genetic explanation on this channel, I use the correct genetic names. This pair of pigeons are both Sooty Ash Red Bar pigeons. What you call "barless mealy" is infact not barless at all, it is Spread Ash Red. The spread gene is the same gene that makes a blue pigeon into a black, as you've seen.
Yes please do the genetics video I am struggling with the crossover concept still, waiting eagerly !!
My biggest trouble is trying to write a script where I can explain it in a way that is easy to understand!

I think the crossover rate for dilute and base colour is about 48%, so not too rare 🙂
Love your channel Adam, I’m in Melbourne.. been watching your vids for a while now

The yellow pigeon you refer to are they also called meelie or miele?
I don't have any yellow pigeons at the moment, but I have mealies who carry the required genes.

How does sooty gene show off in the red and yellow birds?
I'll make a video of this in the future
show two outcomes of this project silver and yellow using photos... That way, we would get an idea about the two colours
Yes, I should have done that. I'll do it in the future.
@@AdamArcherPigeons can we cross silver to ash red.... Or ditute blue to ashred for this project
Where is the picture it is 4 years now hehe.
Did u start the pink bar reduced project and if so how has it been going?
Unfortunately that pigeon died before I could breed from him. I will get a new one in the future to continue with.
How does one know if their silver or meally caries the dilute gene?
I know because I bred him. His mother was a silver bar.
Bacana d mais assisto todos seus vídeos sou do Brasil e gosto muito de pombos d cores
Obrigado!

Yes, black is a dominant gene. Grizzle is also dominant, so you need a grizzle to breed a grizzle.
The to in the photo we call them meley
Yes, the parents are mealies, but they'll produce some yellow young.

Hi bro can I get contact number please bro

You have no Homer pigeon bro
They are called silver not yellow. Yellow is a different color. Love your videos
Yellow is dilute ash red. These birds are ash red bar, and the cock carries dilute. They will produce dilute daughters.
