Would you mind giving some info on your gear please? Lift 170HA? KD 13" tail? Shim? How much you weigh? I'm sorry I know a gentlemen never asks and a lady shouldn't be expected to tell Been trying to learn the down wind thing and I can't tell if the 170HA or the 250HA is a better learner set up. Same wing span so the 250 looks more midaspect. I also have the 13"R tail or a home made 18" tail
@@KahiPacarro Right on. Thanks for the reply. The 170HA came with the 34 Surf tail and the 250HA came with the 40 Surf tail. My 120HA came with the 25 Glide. Ill try it. Thanks.
Blows up stream. Thats how it makes such good bumps. Speed of wind + speed of water headed in the opposite direction. Also if you look at his title is says "downwind upstream" Took me a minute to make it click in my head too.
Great stuff! Looks like you had a good day!
this is my dream
It was mine too. Gonna try to make it a recurring dream.

Sure, lift 170 with a Stuebber adapter and an Amundson 12.5” tail. Board is too small but it’s a Kalama inspired 6’ x 20” and 81L.
I’d suggest the 170 and 25 tail it comes with or your own. Also biggest thing is getting a board that floats you well enough.

Looks awesome! I assume the wind blows downstream?

Actually the wind blows upstream!
Lol, you could just downwind upstream and then fall in and ride the current back down to reset
@@booger808 Yup!!! We were doing exactly that at the Hatchery section of the run.
