Charlie, I think it would be beneficial to attach reading materials regarding the decline of cities. Or academic materials that can juxtapose the reasoning for the state of the places you video. Documented written history combined with visuals of the current state would educate viewers immensely. When it is only visuals, the short sided average you tube viewer assumes the citizens are the reasons for the current state. We should assess all of the reasons outside of the visuals. America has failed policy wise in many ways.
The citizens in these videos ARE the reason for this. You can't policy your way out of culture and giving these people public housing has made it worse for generations. What these people really need is a patch of land, a shovel and some seeds combined with the understanding that if you don't work, there's absolutely no one that's going to feed you so your starve. They'll either survive or nature with right its self.

Benton Harbor fell into steep decline in the 1970's as the American made cars got taken out by the Toyotas and Hondas... Factories lost from here: Modern Plastics, Bendix Corp., Clark Equipment, Auto Specialties, and many, many other smaller auto parts makers.... Just take a look at Gary, Indiana... steel production gone... same fate... and, It is not just a racial problem... Benton Harbor is home to Whirlpool Corporation. If you go closer to the lake you will see a newer golf course and new housing developments on land that was once old factories and polluted lands. Benton harbor used to be a very wealthy place. That changed when politics influenced the people their and they made bad decisions with their money.
I see how he chose a particular side of town to cruise and record. He didn't show all of Benton Harbor. Also add commentary. Let everyone know why BH is the way that it is. 5 major manufacturers pulled out and left. Give history. Do a before and after. But I guess you painted the picture you wanted to paint. BH is the way that it is because of a hidden agenda. Keep Watching...
Your point is valid.
But did you read the title of the video? It wasn’t titled “the history of Ben Harbor”
BH has always been a shit hole, bro
Yea I was just out there.. All of it ain't like this.. Plus they doing a lot downtown.. I'm use to Chicago n Gary.. I didn't feel unsafe in Benton Harbor.. Plus it's a mere couple miles from dope lake views.. Only thing I wouldn't like is the damn lake effect snow.. We get 7 or 8 inches in the Chicagoland area.. They get 32 inches of lake effect there n Michigan City/Laporte..

Starting on McAllister my old street that store use to be called BJs where it was a lot of parking lot pimpin going on. The house parties, alley burgers, boones farm with my street fam and my biological sis (sometimes) was everything. Did a whole lot of walking which got me in trouble cause u get caught by yourself you better know how fight cause thats yo ass if you can't. Summers was lit we was outside like NYC. Regular street brawls, shooting when somebody can't fight or scared, somebody always stealing, but outside of that we had fun tho altho we didn't have shit. We were very sociable. Broadway park was the spot! It's really not as bad as people think tho. It's a lot of BS but also home. Just gotta be on the right side of town going towards St. Joesph. I didn't think Michigan was like that! Not sure why, because you don't really hear much about Michigan here.
Because you think of Michigan and it's beauty. Unfortunately, I think it stems from Unions coming from Detroit Big 3 auto, and branching out from Detroit.
Michigan became a place where Unions took dues & funded Democratic politicians, and you know...they turn every thing and city they touch into a shithole.

This is why I dislike our government officials, seeing video's like this and hearing about all the things they promised us that will never happen is why, I can't stand them.
Politicians can't make people work. And homeboy is just driving in the absolute worse parts
Do you have an example of reading material for this town?
@@Danlovestrivium no, you are slow. If your town erodes, and has no money, how do you blame the people? You have little understanding of how resources are divided. You think black people don’t work basically, or have work ethic. So, throughout the whole Nation, black people don’t grow vegetation, and tend to their land? You can’t possibly believe this.
@@jazo85 Ever notice how its always the usual suspects who's part of town always erodes and has no money? Ever wonder why all of these videos all look the same no mater what State/city/town the content creator drives through?
Ever wonder why all of their schools fail? Ever wonder why they always end up in prison? Ever wonder why you can't turn on the TV without seeing them killing each other? Ever wonder why they all have the grammatical fortitude of a 4th grader? Ever wonder why all of their music is about the same three topics? Ever wonder why it's pretty much only them that live in government project housing? Ever wonder why all of their social media accounts look the same?
It's black culture. This is the answer to all of the above. We don't need police reform, we need police improvement. What we really need is black culture reform.

Anyone know what the majority of those big trees are?
They are mostly, for the most part, large Maple trees... There were Elms up until the Dutch Elm disease took them out in the 1950's... (been there... still live close by... and this video is taken in a small 8 or 10 block area of the "hood"... )
By contrast, almost all of this area is very, very, nice and upscale... right near Lake Michigan and the St. Joseph River...
Just take a look at Gary, Indiana... steel production gone... same fate... and,
It is not just a racial problem... (in my opinion) It is really a poverty and drug problem brought on by the loss of meaningful employment... along with numerous "welfare" programs and municipal government corruptions and graft... Well off and well employed local people of all different racial types simply move a few miles, (usually across the river to the "rich part of town") (they often work for Whirlpool Corp or Gast Manufacturing -- technically both in Benton Harbor area--)
